Finally food and water has been sent to the victims of one of the worst hurricanes in this nation's history. I'm just furious at this whole event and how President Bush handled the issue so dog-on late. It also makes absolutley no sense that hardly any one in the city were helping the poor and elderly citizens get out of the city before any of this chaos would happen. My family is from New Orleans, but luckily the worst thing to happen to them is some of their houses have been flooded, but thank god for insurance.

Please do discuss

it's a horrible thing.... I wish it never happened and am praying for the victims.

Well one things for sure, if New Orleans was mainly a Caucasian populated city the government would've responded to the disaster a lot sooner then they did.

you know what I hate about the whole thing?

the people looting the stores.

I mean for gods sake, people are dying.
stop stealing shoes from K-Mart and HELP.

Guess what happened the other day?

Ok, I'll telll you my uncle from New Orleans rescued a woman from her roof and she's going to name her baby after him. I also heard the victims of katrina are all getting 2000 bucks which is nice, but they could deserve a hell lot more after how the government treated this tradgedy.

TheLastDinosaur - September 9, 2005 01:44 AM (GMT)
wow, that's really cool...

I think that's what we need to be doing right now..helping.
not estimating death tolls...not bothering the government and the cops.

just HELPING.

I am not saying they don;t need it, but the government has to give to ever family that was hit so it will be a couple million. And I heard that Wal-Mart will give anyone effected by the hurricane a job.

you guys hear?

the FEMA dealy...whatever...announced that they were giving away debit cards to every victim.

the next day, they took them back and refused to hand any more out.

way to get their hopes up, FEMA

The handouts will stop after a while what the people need is a job to get money, and that is what they need.

problem is, there's no store to work at within about 20 miles.

so our only option is to hand them money.

They need to get out of the city to rebuild it.
