You forgot Indie, Electronica, Country(yes, people do like country), and R&B..I'll add em'. But my favorite music genre would have to be Electronica, examples of Electronica music might include Daft Punk, Royksopp, and Gorillaz.

Rock - Lenny Kravitz (sp)
Funk - Outkast
Pop - Michael Jackson, he's the king of pop after all.
Hip Hop/Rap - Black Eyed Peas
Techno/Club Music - Daft Punk
Electronica - Gorillaz
R&B - N.E.R.D
Indie - Modest Mouse
Indie Rock - Franz Ferdinand
Hard Rock
Funk
Classic Rock
Metal
Heavy Metal
Speed Metal
Death/Doom Metal
Punk Rock(includes classic punk)
Pop Punk(=X)
Emo rock
Hip Hop/Rap
Techno/Club Music
Country

I didn't even bother with the other genres, because I don't pay any attention to them most of the time.

Moby's more techno than electronica, but a great electronica band is Royksopp if you're looking for some to check out.
