(Welcome to the "Pokemon: Future Sight: RP thread. The setting is 20 years in the future. Team Rocket has been in control of the regions of Kanto and Johto for 10 years now. All the Pokemon Gyms has been closed and Pokemon ownership is strongly regulated and observed.

Giovanni, the head of Team Rocket and Ruler of the Kanto and Johto regions, rules with an iron fist. At his side is a hybrid of Mewtwo and a Machamp, the four-armed gene-spliced Pokemon named Mewthree, whose loyality towards Giovanni is absolute.

However, the civilians are growing restless with Team Rocket, but they fear to rise up against them. Will you help them to overthrow the tyrantical Team Rocket and restore freedom to people and Pokemon alike?)

Terrence was a contracted Pokemon bounty hunter for Team Rocket for three years until he realized that he was starting to be used for grab jobs. Terrence quit and now collects bounties on Pokemon for his own.

*Terrence continues to enjoy his lemonade when a stranger walks up to him*

Stranger: Hi there. Would you like to trade Pokemon?

Terrence: No, thank you. I like my Houndour.

Stranger: Are you sure you don't want to trade? I'm offering a Kadabra. And you know what happens when a Kadabra is traded, right?

Terrence (firmly): No...thank you.

Stranger (leaning into Terrence's ear): Come on. Everybody wants an Alakazam.

*Terrence grabs the stranger by the collar of his shirt and slams him onto the top of the table*

Terrence: I DON'T! I don't want an Alakazam. I don't want a Mr. Mime, I don't want a Celebi, I don't want any Psychic-type. So you take your filthy Psychic Pokemon and get out of my face! DIG?!

*Terrence lets the guy go, who runs out of the bar. Several minutes later, Officer Jenny comes and confronts Terrence*

Officer Jenny: Terrence, did you assault that man over there? *points to the stranger, who's still shaken up*

Terrence: Jenny, you know I wouldn't do anything without a good reason.

*Jenny writes out a ticket and hands it to Terrence*

Officer Jenny: Try to stay out of trouble, Terrence. Okay?

*Jenny begins to walk out*

Terrence: Hey, Jenny. Want to join me for a drink?

*Jenny turns and smile*

Officer Jenny: Good night, Terrence. *leaves*

*Terrence turns to Houndour and smiles. They finish their drinks, pay their tab, and heads off to Route 3 and sets up camp. Goes to sleep*

*Terrence tosses and turns as he has a nightmare about his dad being killed by Mewtwo. Terrence is then jolted out of sleep, soak in sweat. Houndour raises its head, wonders over to Terrence, and licks him. Terrence pets Houndour*

I'm all right, boy. I'm all right.

*Terrence goes back to sleep. The next day, Terrence packs up and heads to Viridean City.

*Terrence arrives at Viridean City and sees a couple of Team Rocket goons ruffing up an old man*

TR Goon 1: I said give me that Pokemon, you old goat!

Old Man: Why are you trying to take my one and only Pokemon? I need it for protection. You Team Rocket grunts care so much about people having Pokemon but you don't do anything about the riff-raff around here, like the ones that tried to mug me the other night.

TR Goon 2: Not our problem. *reaches for the PokeBall in the old man's hand* Now give us that Pokemon!

Old Man: No!

*The TR goons grab hold of the old man and try to pluck the PokeBall out of his hand*

Terrence: Hey, leave him alone!

TR Goon 1 (to Terrence): This doesn't concern you. Go about your business if you know what's good for you.

Terrence: I guess I don't know what's good for me. Go, Houndour!

*Houndour steps forward and growls at the goons*

*TR Goon 1 let's go of the old man and reaches for his PokeBall*

TR Goon 1: Go, Heracross! *tosses his PokeBall and sends out Heracross* Heracross, use Brick Break!

Terrence: Houndour, use Ember!

*Houndour hits Heracross with Ember, which does a critical hit and burns Heracross. Heracross hits with Brick Break*

TR Goon 1: Heracross, again with Brick Break!

Terrence: Houndour, use Ember again!

*Houndour hits Heracross with Ember, making it faint*

TR Goon 1: Heracross, return. *recalls Heracross. Turns to Goon 2* Are you going to send out your Pokemon?

TR Goon 2: No way. I got a Scizor. That Houndour will roast it in a heartbeat. Let's scram!

*The TR Goons run off*

Terrence: Good job, Houndour. *goes up to the old man* Are you all right, sir?

Old Man: Yes, yes. I'm find, young man. Just a little brusied and battered.

Terrence: Is there anything I can do for you? Take you to a doctor or anything?

Old Man: Oh, no. I'll be fine. But I fear that those punks will be back and in larger numbers. How would you like to have my Breloom? If I have to lose my Breloom, I rather it be in the care of a decent young man like yourself rather than those jackboot crooks.

Terrence: Are you sure that you want to do that?

Old Man: Don't argue with your elders. Go on, take it. *hands the PokeBall to Terrence, who accepts it*

Terrence: I'll take good care of it, sir.

Old Man: That's all I ask, young man.

*The old man hobbles to his house and goes in. Terrence goes through Viridean City and onto Route 4. He sets up camp*

Terrence: Man, I wish we could boot out Team Rocket. But I can't do it by myself. If only I could get some help...

*jason i swalking with his machoke along route 4*
JAson: oh my god im so bored ><
machoke: yeah me too
*jason keeps walking then stops suddenly*
Jason: You CAN talk Engligh!?!?!?! :blink:
machoke: uhh no i mean uhh maaaachoke
Jason*shakes his head* rrriiiiiight
*the continue walking when suddenly they see another trainer running towards them*
Trainer: hey, you look like a strong trainer.
Jason: yeah, so what do you want?
Trainer: how would you like to trade for this graveler
Jason: no thanks.
Trainer : please! anything will do.
Jason: why are you in such a hurry to get rid of it?
Trainer: uhh nothing i just dont have room for it.
Jason: well ill take it off your hands but i wont trade you anything for it
Trainer: *looks behind him*
crap there coming quick *gives jason the graveler which evolves into a golem*

* a few seconds later a few rocket grunts show up*
trgrunt1: hey did you see some guy with a graveler come through here?
Jason: nope
trgrunt2: then whats that pokeball in your hand?!?
jason: my golem
trgrunt2: and howd you get that?
jason: i...i dont remember some trader traded it to me.
trgrunt3: you two stay here and deal with him i will go check up ahead
trgrunt1&2: yes sir
*tr grunt 1 sends out a rattacate(sp) rtgrunt2 sends out growlithe
*jason sends out the golem to fight with his machoke*
Jason: deal with my light work for me guys
*golem uses earth quake which k.o's the rattacate and almosts k.o's the growlithe too.then machoke uses ice punch on the growlithe which k.o'sit*
*then the trgrunts gather there pokemon and run to find the other grunt*
Jason: thats what i thought. pityful they are.
machoke: yeah
*jason then recalls the golem and he and machoke continue down route 4*

*Roro rides her ponyta to where Jason is*
"hi, excuse me, which way to verillion city?"
*Roro's charmeleon stares at Jason angrily*

JAson:uhh i dont know :blink:
machoke do you know?
Machoke: nope >>
Jason: sorry miss but we don't know :P

"well, I'll just have to follow you then to see what the adventure does."
*charmeleon grabs onto ponyta's tail and rides along*
"so, Jason, is it? where are you headed?"

jason : no idea :angel:

*unmounts ponyta and sits on a bench*
"well, I guess I'll have to wait then." :unsure:

*Terrence hears voices up ahead from him. He goes up to investigate and sees two people talking*

Hmm. These two people seem like they could hold their own in a battle.

*Terrence approaches them*

Hey, y'all. I see y'all got Pokemon with you. Some fairly powerful ones, at that. How would y'all like to help me kick Team Rocket out of this region and get the people back in charge here?

jason: sure sounds fine to me
you up to it machoke?
machoke: of course B)

*mounts ponyta* "sure, I'll come along" *charmeleon mounts the back of ponyta as the ponyta looks around* "so, how exactly are we suppose to kick Team Rocket out?"

Well, first let me introduce myself. I'm Terrence, Pokemon bounty hunter and former contracted employee of Team Rocket.

Now then, to boot out TR, we need to shut them down, town by town. In each town there's a TR center. We disrupt their operations and send them packing.

Now there's a problem: each Team Rocket grunt has powerful Pokemon with them and the Admins has even stronger ones. Everybody else is restricted on what Pokemon they can have, so that's why nobody has lead up a rebellion yet. But I believe we can do it.

I heard through the underground grapevine that TR is shipping some fairly strong Pokemon this evening by truck. Most of those Pokemon belong to people before TR stole them. I say we hit the truck, rescue the captive Pokemon, and we keep any unowned ones.

What do ya say?

"I say, why not!" ponyta rears up and charmeleon goes: "char!!!"

All right, then. Let's get going.

*Terrence, John, and Roro heads to the TR center at Viridean City and hides, waiting for the truck*

*Whispers* Okay, gang. *holds up a short pen-like device* This is a Pokemon scanner. It tells which Pokemon is owned by somebody and which isn't. When we bust out the Pokemon from the truck, I'll go over all the Pokemon and find out which ones are up for grabs.

I need you two to hold off the grunts while I'm doing that. My Breloom will help you out. It's a Grass/Fighting type, so it should benefit y'all.

As soon as the truck arrives, I'll get my Houndour to use Ember on one set of the tires. Roro, could you please take care of the other set? And Jason, could you get your Machoke to open the back doors of the truck?

"If there's a growlith, I'll take that as a payment. if not, I'll just go on my way without pay." Roro says as she looks around for the other truck. "So what do you want me to use?" Charmeleon looks up and says, "Char!"

Use a Fire-type attack. Oh, and here *hands Jason and Roro a Great Ball* just in case you don't have one.

*the truck pulls up*

Now!

*the Pokemon takes out the trucks tires and opens the back of the truck. Terrence jumps into the back of the truck and quickly starts scanning the Pokemon inside*

Taken, taken, taken,...got a Sneasel that's available. Taken, taken, taken, taken, taken, taken,...oh, a Skarmory! I call dibs on that one. Taken, taken,...hey, Roro, got you a Growlithe here. Taken, taken, taken, taken, taken, taken, taken,...got a Nidorino available. Also a Pinsir and a Absol. All the rest are taken.

*open the cages in the truck and lets the Pokemon free. Tosses a Great Ball and catches the Skarmory. Terrence then goes and helps out Roro and Jason, giving them a chance to catch them a Pokemon*

*Roro catches growlithe and looks at the other pokemon* "hey, found an oynx... it's rock, so I won't claim it."
*mounts her ponyta and waits for further instructions*

*TR grunts pour out of the Team Rocket complex*

Oh, great. Houndour, Breloom, go! *sends out Houndour and Breloom* Roro, please go around the back of the complex and flush out the rest of the Rockets. We'll give you cover.

Houndour, use Ember. Breloom, use Mach Punch!

*Houndour and Breloom attack the grunts' Pokemon. After a few minutes, the grunts begin to retreat*

(sorry bout that guys i wasnt home all weekend)
so what do we do now?

*Roro goes to the back of the complex and finishes off TR goons and gallops back to where Jason's standing*

If you want any of them, Jason, there's still several wild Pokemon that was on the truck: a Sneasel, a Nidorino, a Pinsir, an Absol, and an Onix. But you better hustle 'cause they're getting away.

As soon as it's daybreak, we'll give the owned Pokemon to whoever they belong to. For now, I'm going inside this complex, grab me some grub, and hitting the sack.

*goes inside, eats, and goes to bed*

*The next day, Terrence wakes up, eats some breakfast, and meets up with Roro and Jason*

*the trio herds the owned Pokemon to Viridean City's main square. Terrence scans the Pokemon, calls out the name of the trainer that appears on the scanner, and gives the Pokemon to the trainer until there are no more*

*Terrence, Roro, and Jason begins to head for Pewter City*

*terrence chuckles*

Hey, I was only 14 when TR took over.

Anyhow, one day Team Rocket launched an offensive to take over the regions, starting with Kanto. All the Pokemon trainers and their Pokemon banded together and fought back. They were doing pretty good until Team Rocket pulled out their ace in the hole: a genetic hybrid of Mewtwo and Machamp named Mew3. That sucker was 10 times more powerful than Mewtwo, plus it was at Giovanni's beck and call. Well, Mew3 just wiped everybody out, even the great Ash Ketchum. So everybody fled and Team Rocket waltzed in and took control of everything. Did the same thing in Johto.

That was 10 years ago.

Well, Mew3 is Psychic/Fighting-type, so it would be weak against Flying type and Psychic-type moves. However, Giovanni made it a point to teach it moves to counter those types of Pokemon.

but arent dragon types practically strong against anything also?
