Title: Pro Wrestling NOAH Moves Topic
Description: What's that move called again?

Xanshin - June 13, 2005 10:58 PM (GMT)
Need to know what a move is, or what it's called? Maybe a gif is required? Ask here...

personaljesus - June 14, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
what is the Touch Out move done by Kanemaru

Xanshin - June 14, 2005 08:36 AM (GMT)
Kanemaru's Touch Out is a twisting brainbuster. Off the top of my head, he's used it to defeat Kotaro Suzuki and Low-Ki in recent matches

SolidGoldBomb - June 14, 2005 03:15 PM (GMT)
Does SUWA have a name for his dropkick into the turnbuckle?

What's KENTA's finisher? Is it just a series of really stiff kicks to the head? Whats it called when he has em in the fireman's carry and throws the guy off his shoulders into a front kick?

Harbinger Of Stuff - June 14, 2005 03:25 PM (GMT)
SUWA's Corner Dropkick is called the John Woo.

KENTA's kicks-Knee combo is the call Busaiku knee kick

The Firemans carry into the Knee is called GO 2 Sleep

Real - June 14, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
Just to clarify the point about KENTA's finisher, his main finisher is the Busiaku Knee Kick, which is the running knee strike he performs after a kick combination that leaves the opponent standing woozily in the ring (his general setup for the move).

SolidGoldBomb - June 14, 2005 06:02 PM (GMT)
Whats Marufuji's finisher...is it the Sliced Bread #2 move? I've seen him do it solo and with the guy getting powerbombed too. And I got this word from the wallpaper thread, but what is the Shiranui? Is that what he calls that move?

Xanshin - June 14, 2005 06:10 PM (GMT)
Shiranui is the Sliced Bread #2

Avalanche Shiranui is the same move...but his opponent is positioned on the top rope...so he flips over them to the mat below.

Hope that makes sense...

SolidGoldBomb - June 14, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Yep, perfect sense...thanks :D

Real - June 15, 2005 05:54 AM (GMT)
Marufuji invented the Shiranui/Sliced Bread #2, and he hits two variations; a top rope shiranui with the opponent on the second turnbuckle and him performing the move off the top, and the avalanche reverse shiranui which is more popularly known as the one man spanish fly or the flux capacitator in the US.

Could someone describe the "Ganso Bomb" for me?
I read about it in another topic on this board and want to know what it looks like.

Xanshin - June 24, 2005 09:21 AM (GMT)
Okay, basic description: Have your opponent up in like a piledriver position, and drop to your knees, driving them head-first. It can be seen here:

http://tatawrest.tripod.com/act3/gansu.html

Scroll down to the bottom and wait for the movie to load.

As said in that other topic, it was not an intentional move the first time Kawada did it.

The story is that he had a broken forearm during the match. Kawada went for a powerbomb, Misawa was supposed to try to counter into a hurricanrana (hence why he was vertical) and Kawada was supposed to counter that again and powerbomb him.

Because of his broken arm, he couldn't and so he dropped him on his head.

The one he did on Mutoh a few years ago was planned though...henced the reason it looked a lot more protected.

And the move is actually a "sheer drop kneeling hanging powerbomb" which is called the Kawada Driver

The Ganso Bomb is a random name that has become attatched to it. The actual Ganso Bomb was done by Lou Thesz.

Can anyone help me with a few questions about finishing move names? :D

Hashi's Diving Headbutt off the apron, whats it called? (I LOVE that!)
Whats his finisher? Isn't it the Fisherman's Buster or something

Kikuchi's move where he falls down and hits the guy in the chest repeatedly (its so corny but funny). Does he have an actual finisher? Better yet, has he ever gotten to use it to win a match? He is my favorite NOAH jobber.

Tamon Honda's got a nice move where he does like a t-bone into a neck submission, is that his finisher. If not what is? Whats Honda's Rolling Olympic Hell Pt.0? Are there more parts?

Whats SUWA's FFF?

Ricky Marvin's got a "TKO-like" cutter? Que pasa mang? So whats his finisher anyway?

Jun Izumida's diving elbow. Is that his finisher. Or is the diving headbutt?

That guy who hits everyone with his ass....he rules too. Whats his name? Whats his finisher?

Does Haruka Eigen have a finisher other than spitting in peoples faces?

Whats Morishima's finisher? Is it the german suplex?

What's Masao Inoue's finisher? I like when he does the repeated clotheslines in the corner, thats cool.

Akira Taue's finisher is the chokeslam right. Does it have another name?

Whats Saito's Death Brand?

Whats Ogawa's finisher? I dont ever remember him doing any moves actually, he usually just gets beat up it seems.

I got more, but this is good for now.

Harbinger Of Stuff - July 7, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
1 - He doesn't have a name for the headbutt off the apron
And I always thought that his fisherman buster was called the Goriman's Driver but apparently that his reverse ddt, so....

2 - Neither does Kikuchi

3 - T-bone into a submission? Your probably talking about the rolling olympic hell, but I don't recall seeing him do it from a T-bone position.

4 - Elevated Pedigree

5 - I've seen Marvin use a twisting body press a his finisher.

6 - The diving headbutt is one of his finishers.

7 - Shiro Koshinaka and he use a powerbomb, samurai driver '84 or a dragon suplex as his finish

8 - Cradle or backslide

9 - Backdrop Suplex

10 - He uses Argentine backbreaker or Torture rack

11- Nodowa otoshi or the belly to back into a chokeslam is called I am Taue

12 - Brainbuster into tombstone piledriver

13 - Backdrop suplex hold

Real - July 7, 2005 06:02 PM (GMT)
As I understand it his wrist clutch fisherman's suplex hold is the Goriman's Suplex and the wrist clutch fisherman's buster is the Goriman's Driver.

SolidGoldBomb - July 7, 2005 06:07 PM (GMT)
Thanks a lot man :)

Wow a brainbuster into a tombstone...I've never seen Saito do that I dont think, sounds SICK!

The Extreme - July 8, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
I believe Kikuchi's finisher is the Fireball Bomb which is a scoop powerbomb or blue thunder bomb.

What's that move called where Kobashi sets them up for a Burning Sword, but instead of chopping, he elbows them?

MDM - July 10, 2005 12:51 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (Harbinger Of Stuff @ Jul 7 2005, 04:47 PM)

12 - Brainbuster into tombstone piledriver

Is it like the Steiner Screw Driver?

Harbinger Of Stuff - July 10, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
Yeah the Steiner Screwdriver.

And I don't think he has a name for the elbow move.

The Extreme - July 16, 2005 04:38 AM (GMT)
Whats the name of that move Mike Modest does where he flips the opponent in mid air into an Olympic Slam like pin move?
Sounds like the commentator is calling it the Reality Check, but I know that's a different move, unless he's changed it to that?

Real - July 16, 2005 08:24 AM (GMT)
The California Roll

The Extreme - July 16, 2005 12:31 PM (GMT)
Thanks. :)

Benoit Is Your Daddy - July 18, 2005 02:51 PM (GMT)
Is MiSuzuki's Drill A Hole piledriver a Gotch-style (more of a cradle-style reverse tombstone) or a cradle piledriver (a la Jerry Lynn)?

personaljesus - July 18, 2005 05:31 PM (GMT)
drill a hole piledriver is the cradle piledriver

personaljesus - July 18, 2005 05:38 PM (GMT)
what is the super dead end

Harbinger Of Stuff - July 18, 2005 07:49 PM (GMT)
The Dead End is a German suplex so a Super Dead End must be from the top or the one he did to Takayama in the 7/16/03 GHC Tag match.

personaljesus - July 18, 2005 08:03 PM (GMT)
thx 4 the clarification

personaljesus - July 21, 2005 07:45 PM (GMT)
What is Ricky Marvin's Hit Latino finisher

personaljesus - July 21, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
What is the CRADLE OF DOOM

Edgecution - November 7, 2005 08:07 PM (GMT)
Maybe someone could explain to me what Akiyama´s "Sternness Dust" is?
Thank you very much...

Xanshin - November 7, 2005 08:11 PM (GMT)
If you're talking about the original Sternness Dust then this picture does a fairly good job of describing it:

http://www.geocities.com/jpuro3/junakiyama14.jpg

I honestly don't know what the "Gamma" version he used to pin Marufuji the other day looks like.

Edgecution - November 12, 2005 04:31 PM (GMT)
Hey, thank you, this picture is amazing.

Well, on the german moonsault.de board (one of the biggest german wrestling boards at all) there has been posted a little video of Sterness Dust Gamma. ;) :)

Here, just for you, the link: Sterness Dust Gamma ;) :)

EDIT: In my opinion the Sterness Dust Gamma looks like a fisherman brainbuster, I´ve never seen such a move before...

Xanshin - November 12, 2005 08:12 PM (GMT)
Wow. Thanks for that vid. Nice move!
