Title: Eddie Guerrero Passes Away...
Xanshin - November 13, 2005 06:08 PM (GMT)
...yeah, this has nothing to do with Pro Wrestling NOAH, but quite frankly I don't care. Eddie Guerrero passed away today. The cause so far unknown. He was found dead in his hotel room.
I seriously don't know what to say right now. Usually when a wrestler dies, it doesn't suprise you...and maybe with Eddie's past, this shouldn't be a suprise...but he was on my telly this morning. He looked as healthy as he's ever been. I seriously can't and don't believe he is gone.
Eddie Guerrero - R.I.P. You will be missed.

R.I.P - Eddy Guerrero, you were one of the best...

I get up this morning and switch on my PC, and the first thing I see is
"EDDIE GUERRERO - 1967-2005"
If that's not a sign that I'm in for a crappy week, I don't know what is.
First Japan loses Shinya Hashimoto, than TNA loses Chris Candido, and now WWE loses Eddie. I can't help but feel some strange triangle of death has been completed.
Why do the good guys that have so much more to give always end up being the first to go :(

...because heaven needed another main eventer.

I didnīt believe it when I heard this yesterday. On Sunday at the wXw show with Kobashi I wasnīt really informed about it. I was terribly shocked yesterday when I was surfing through the internet and when I saw the headline about Eddie on every wrestling page. I still cannot believe it.
Eddie was one of the best this industry has ever ever seen. The style of life he was living the last years was quite good, so why he had to go? I cannot understand it and I cannot find many words. :o :(

I'm copying my comment from my LJ as it still applies.
Fuck...it's a sad, sad day in wrestling history. As a fan, Eddie was always one of my favourites to watch, putting a level of passion and love into his work unknown to most. He was one of the greatest if not *the* greatest worker in WWE over the last three years and had some of the best promos around. As a worker it saddens me more as he was one of the top five or ten workers I wanted to wrestle most in the future and now it will never happen. Ever. This hurts most as a person. Eddie Guerrero was a hero of mine. He was addicted to cocaine and alcohol, fired from the WWF, his wife left him...most people would just give up. Not Eddie though...he kicked his addictions, worked from the bottom all the way back up to WWE, and got his wife back before winning the WWE Title and standing tall with his best friend at the biggest wrestling event ever...world champions. And now it's over. I spent the day honouring Eddie's memory the best way I knew how: Enjoying wrestling as a fan. I went to Kai's and we watched some Eddie matches before ordering the TNA Genesis pay per view. I had a ton of fun and enjoyed the business which was Eddie's life. I can think of no better way to pay tribute to the man.
Rest in Peace Eddie...you will be missed.
Cheers.
