Title: Official 9/18 Budokan Thread
Description: yes...it's been MADE official...by me

Xanshin - September 5, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Yeah...officially discuss this in the official comfort of this rather official thread.

I noticed quite a lot of little topics about it, and figured I may as well make a big giant one.

Hopefully Misawa takes Rikio down and then loses the title very quickly himself. Either that, or Rikio goes on to have the longest reign ever, which would annoy the hell out of me but would be totally awesome in a really weird and unexplainable way.

KENTA will beat SUWA. I think this will be a good match, but I don't see this turning out any other way unless SUWA becomes drawn to KENTA's ass like I was, starts to squeeze it a lot, and KENTA passes out through shock...

Kenta Kobashi & Akira Taue vs. Jun Akiyama & Genichiro Tenryu is a hard one. My head says Kobashi/Taue...but my gut feeling is that Tenryu will pick up the win.

Shiga's fighting Honda right? Shiga win...

TALK...NOW

DXD - September 6, 2005 06:41 PM (GMT)
I want to see Misawa beating Rikio... just because for the sake of having Misawa vs. Tenryu one on one in Budokan by november!

KENTA makes a good V1 against SUWA... no way SUWA will go over.

Tenryu pins Taue in the dream tag match, OR they will go for a draw. Dunno, I'll be happy this way or the other... hopefully this will be AWESOME.

Shiga vs. Honda... should be fun. Shiga.

When will the rest of the card be announced?

I guess one match will be added for sure:

MiSuFuji vs. MorishYone

There are some nice matches. Unfortunately I can't watch them here in Germany.... :(

The Extreme - September 7, 2005 02:07 AM (GMT)
The main event is tough to call. On the one hand if Misawa wins, there will be fans happy for the possible dream matches left for Misawa to have defenses against, but on the other hand they'll be those who whine at how NOAH has no future prospects. Rikioh wins and they'll be those who whine about him not being a credible champion and how he should drop it to a big name like Misawa. I'll stick with Rikioh beating Misawa.

GHC Jr. title match should be easy to call with KENTA going over SUWA in a what should be a very heated match.

I'll say Akiyama pins Taue with the wrist-clutch Exploder in the big tag match.

And Shiga loses his return match to Honda cause the guy returning from injury always loses his return. It would also make up for all the loses Honda has been taking lately and it doesn't hurt Shiga since he's been on the shelf over a year anyway.

SolidGoldBomb - September 7, 2005 02:23 PM (GMT)
Looks intereting...

KENTA wins obviously...

I think Tenryu gets the pin in the tag match, probably on Taue. He is next in line for a GHC title match, so he may even pin Kobashi. But Tenryu needs this match for heat going into his title shot.

And the GHC match....a tough one to call. I want Misawa to win it, even though I have a feeling he won't. In my mind he deserves it since he may retire soon. And I hope Misawa wins because then we could see a Kawada rematch by the end of the year, and Kawada could be our GHC champ!

SolidGoldBomb - September 12, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
I know Mushiking Terry is Kotaro Suzuki, but who plays Mushiking Joker?

Koomon - September 12, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
My random thought on the matches:

1. Kentaro Shiga Return Match: Tamon Honda vs. Kentaro Shiga
Shiga's got to go over in this one I reckon! I'm not expecting to much from this match in fairness.Shiga's probably full of rust!

2. Jun Izumida & Haruka Eigen vs. Masao Inoue & Kishin Kawabata
Oooh I don't know.I'm going to go with Eigen because he rules all!

3. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi & Mushiking Joker vs. Scorpio, Eddy Edwards & Mushiking Terry
Me think's Scorpio,Mushiking Tarry and Eddy Edwards will go over because they're obviously trying to give the Mushiking Terry gimmick a big push.

4. Yoshinari Ogawa, Makoto Hashi & Go Shiosaki vs. Akitoshi Saito, Shiro Koshinaka & Takashi Sugiura
Don't really care much for this match.I'll go with Saito's team winning.

5. Mohammed Yone vs. Minoru Suzuki
MiSuzuki will own Yone's ass!!!!!!!!!!!

6. Takeshi Morishima vs. Naomichi Marufuji
Poor Marufuji. He's gonna get destroyed and killed dead :(

7. GHC Jr. Heavyweight Title: KENTA © vs. SUWA
This match will be all kinds of awesomeness. I think it should have been saved for a few months as it's almost certain KENTA will go over. I think this will be match of the night.

8. Kenta Kobashi & Akira Taue vs. Jun Akiyama & Genichiro Tenryu
I'm not too sure about this one, Ill go with Kobashi and Taue going over, just coz

9. GHC Heavyweight Title: Takeshi Rikio © vs. Mitsuharu Misawa
I honestly have no idea in regards to this match. If Rikio defeats Misawa he may finally ba accepted as a proper champion by fans. However Misawa's career looks to be coming to an end shortly and I imagine he's going to want one last run with the title.Plus as many have already said, Misawa vs Kawada for the GHC Heavyweight Title will be amazing!

Yonemania - September 15, 2005 01:44 PM (GMT)
Mushiking Joker is Ricky Marvin

Also a big change in the lineup as Naomichi Marufuji is out with a leg injury.

Kanemaru is in his place.
