Summaries:

15-year-old Ikeuchi Aya was an ordinary girl, the daughter of a family who works at a tofu shop, and a soon-to-be high schooler. However, odd things have been happening to Aya lately. She has been falling down often and walks strange. Her mother, Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration - a terrible disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind in the least. How will Aya react when told about her disease? And how will Aya live from now on?

This beautifully moving drama is based on the real-life struggles of a 15-year-old girl named Aya who suffered from an incurable disease, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25. The script is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed entitled “One Litre of Tears" has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone.

Aya's only wish was “to live." By carefully depicting Aya's earnest desire to live, and the love of her family, friends, and lover, the drama, “One Litre of Tears" wishes to deliver her simple but strong message: “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing." ---Fuji TV

Wow, this is the second drama i watched so far that i've cried, other dramas such as western drama,s they're not emotional even though they appear or want the viewers to think of them as emotional. Anyway, wow, please watch this on youtube if you have time to watch it, it's amazing, and if anyone can find torrents or direct downloads to this, please give us the link, arigatou!

This drama, has really reflected my life, it's hard to see someone like yourself, happy listenning to Jpop while someone other there is suffering from this disease and they know they'll die soon. It's really sad, Aya, the main character, she's only 15 years old and she already couldn't walk well. She also fell on her head, which to me was ekkk! Anyways, i'm hoping to watch the movie if there is a download link to it. The drama also inflected me because it shows how valueable life is.

@Aki: Yeah, Aya was really happy in the beginning though she fell a lot, there wasn't anything wrong with her. Aww i feel so awful, hope nothing bad happens to us like that. But it's good that she finally accepted it.

And kimi, you could download it on jpopsuki tracker on BT or watch it on youtube, but if you want, you can buy it. ^^

Just tried the first episode on youtube. And it was painful looking Aya falling down and injured her chin.

Nice drama. Makes me stop and think how I live my life compared to Aya's.

Watch this drama if you think your life is worthless. I'm sure you will find something in it. And Japanese are really good in making audiences by capturing those small details in life and put them in drama.

Does anyone have the two songs by Remioromen?
