Title: Horse for sale
Description: 2 yr old TWH gelding

Wendym - July 18, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
2 yr old Tennessee Walker for sale. He is about 15 hh already and is up to date on all shots and is in great health. He is broke to ride and he knows how to whoa, but needs more riding than I can give him. He is a really sweet horse but does spook a little so he needs an experienced rider that has time to ride him a lot. I am asking $800.00 for him.

Hi Wendy, I added the photo to the thread for you. :)

When he (gelding?) spooks, does he run or just jump?
How is his gait?

Wendym - July 19, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
He just jumps to the side when he spooks. He is the first gaited horse I have ever ridden so I'm not sure about the gait. To me, he is a little rough. He minds well and has a lot of heart but I don't know how to handle the spooks. It is beyond my experience.

I have lowered the price to $700.00 on the TWH if anyone is interested.

I'm trying to get my brother to buy him. :)

Wendym - August 4, 2006 03:07 AM (GMT)
That would be great. We really want him to have a good home. He's a good horse...just needs somebody that has time for him and patience.

he just needs miles, Wendy.
Sis had a QH that did the same thing sometimes.

Mark just spent 3800 on a van. so. says he needs to build back up.

I'm still working on him though. :)

Where are you located???

I've got very little experience with gaited horses, but due to a bad back I've been encouraged to give them a whirl. If you are close by, I'd like to possibly take a look at him.

Oh, and P.S. Is he registered? Lineage?

Wendym - August 8, 2006 04:50 PM (GMT)
I am in Canton on Yandell Road, close to the Natchez Trace Trailhead. He isn't registered but both his parents were. The man I bought him from never bothered to register him he said because this horse wasn't planned and they didn't want him. They rode him some but didn't put a lot of time into him. You are welcome to look at him any time.

Is Canton up by Jackson??? I thought I remembered a sign for Canton, or towards Canton, but I don't know much more than that! I'm down on the Gulf Coast, near Biloxi.

Joey - August 8, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
Canton is a little ways north of Jackson.

ArabAddict - August 8, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
Ah, ha! Thanks!

Wendym - August 9, 2006 12:50 AM (GMT)
That's right, just north of Jackson. We are right off the Natchez Trace at the Canton\Hwy 43 exit.

Joey - August 9, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
That's cool. I go that way to New Albany :)

That's where I catch the Trace at, anyway.

Wendym - August 9, 2006 02:31 AM (GMT)
Cool. You come right by my house then. You'll have to stop by one day. :)

Joey - August 9, 2006 09:53 AM (GMT)
I have to go get my stallion the 19th.
I'd like to stop by and check out Lucky :)
I presume you're north of the Trace?

Wendym - August 9, 2006 05:03 PM (GMT)
It is really easy to find. I can give you exact directions when you come or better still meet you at the Natchez Trace trailhead. That is right off Hwy 43 and left onto Yandell Road. I look forward to meeting you. :)

Joey - August 9, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
Cool. :)

Do you prefer early or late (in the day)?

Wendym - August 11, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
I know you will be on your way to get your stallion so just whenever you need to come through here is fine. I have no preference.

Joey - August 11, 2006 09:46 AM (GMT)
Sent you an email. :)

Wendym - August 11, 2006 11:02 PM (GMT)
I just replied to your email. Sorry for the delay. It's been a long day
