My 2004 AQHA gelding is still for sale. I would like this little guy to go to someone who will treat him right, and really make something out of him. He has a wonderful pedigree, a sweet disposition, and right now is a "blank slate", ready to become whatever his owner wants him to be. I think that I haven't had many calls because everyone thinks he will be too high-priced to afford. However, I've been to the sales, I know what prices are, and will negotiate in good faith with a prospective buyer. My interest is that the horse go to someone where he will be more than just a "pasture ornament".
"Tanner" has started his "basic training" and was imprinted. He will lead, is halter broke, will trailer, and is weaned for the most part from "Momma". He's still a bit hard to catch in the pasture, but is really friendly and shows no bad tendencies. Pedigree: Sire -Zippididoodah (Winnsboro, La), Dam - Prospectors Jangle (also La, TB).
Registration information: Prospectors Spirit (barn name "Tanner", long story, AQHA #X0630697) Tanner is a "blank slate". He is INCREDIBLY fast, probably because of his thoroughbred "momma", and is going to be a big horse. He is DNA Type-Registered, and HYPP N/N. He is AQHA incentive fund registered, and is eligible for the Louisiana QHA, MS QHA, Rainbow, and Arkansas QHA futurities. His daddy was Zippididoodah, out of Zippo Pine Bar. Need I say more?
This was a labor of love for me. His dam is my mare, and she has quite a story. Out of Mertzon and Cojangle, with Mr. Prospector in her bloodlines back two generations, she raced at Evangeline Downs in Louisiana, but now enjoys a nice retirement at my place, after being abandoned by a previous owner, and spending some time with the local sheriff. I knew after she was rescued, that if I could just get her healthy again, she could have a beautiful baby. She didn't disappoint me.
Don't think this is a high-dollar horse that you can't afford. The price is completely negotiable to a good prospective new owner. This horse could be shown, raced, trained to be almost anything (barrels, anybody?), and my intention is that he go to someone who will provide him with a good life, train him to do something useful, and then call me and let me come watch from time to time as he rakes in the trophies. ;) If you're out there, believe me, I think we can agree on a price.
Serious inquiries only, please.
