I like the little tiger one. :)

But if I decide to get another dog, it'll be a Great Dane.

They're really cute. Wish I had room for one. They're smart dogs.

I like the black and white female. I had to look up the Austrailan Shepherds, found this

QUOTE
The Australian Shepherd is an intelligent, medium-sized dog of strong herding and guardian instincts. He is also a delightful and loyal companion and a great family dog. He loves to be part of the daily hustle and bustle, and enjoys riding in the vehicle just to be with his beloved master. As a farm dog, he diligently carries out his responsibilities, be they bringing in the stock or finding that stray one that got tangled in the brush. He is easy to train, easy to housebreak, and eager to please.

Aussies have been used as seeing-eye dogs, as utility dogs to the physically handicapped, hearing aid dogs, police and narcotics dogs and search and rescue dogs. In the northern areas they have also been used as sled dogs. Many go with their masters as volunteers to children's homes and nursing homes to do therapy work. Truly, the Australian Shepherd is a highly versatile dog.

The Aussie (as he is lovingly nicknamed) is a very active dog that needs a great deal of exercise on a daily basis to prevent him from become bored or frustrated and developing destructive habits. Because of their high energy level, combined with high intelligence, Aussies need to be given a "job" to perform, be it shepherding the children, protecting the house, herding livestock or competing in dog events.

One of the most frequent reasons Aussies are turned over to rescue groups is because their owners didn't realize how much energy the breed has, and weren't willing to channel that energy through training. Aussies are also quite demanding of their owners' time and attention and want to be constantly with them, following them from room to room in the house, and going along in the car or truck on errands. They can be highly territorial and protective of their masters' possessions, which can cause serious difficulties unless controlled with proper training.

Yes they are very smart. I’ll always own an aussie. I’ve had other breeds but the aussie is my favorite. I’ve had a husky and mini pen. Talk about a hyper little dog, our min pen was wired and was a pain to house break. She used the cat’s litter box. Not nice to clean out with her using it. LoL The husky was very sweet but she started eating the cats and we had to give her away. I have never had any problems with our Aussies. They get along with our cats and my corgi. They are very protective and we do have to put them in the fenced back yard when strangers come over. People they know their cool with.

p.s. I will have the puppies in Canton at the MS western horse show after 6PM Saturday. (3/15/08)

Will you have any litters nere the end of may early july? I have an Australian Shepherd and she is the best dog my family has ever had. My parents said we could get another puppy this summer and I wanted another one because ours is sych a good dog.

I have an Aussie and I love him, he goes everywhere with me and it is true he would rather ride in the car and wait in tha parking lot than me leave him at home. He has been the best dog. From now on I will always have an Aussie for a dog.

I do have a Mini Pin also and that little thing is 10 times worse than any cooped up Aussie. He is a theft about any food or thrash and nippy to strangers or friends! But we love him too. He will just be the last Mini Pin in the family.

Pictures of my Aussie are on the web site though www.HarrisHeights.com I am not good at posting the pictures on here, I always forget how!

Those puppies are so cute, Joey you need one more than a Great Dane! :D

Yes. She had two red merles in her last litter. She hasn’t had a solid red yet. The pup’s sire is a red merle with glass blue eyes.

I don’t breed them but every other year. This litter wasn’t planned. The sire jumped the fence and got to her. I know I am not going to breed her again this summer. I don’t like having winter puppies either so it may not be until 09 spring when I breed them again. I have been debating on getting another female that is reg. Not that anything is wrong with the female we have, it’s just some people are calling and wanting reg puppies. personally to me unless they are going to be shown papers are worthless. Papers don’t make the dog.

I like Aussies too, but my fav is the Cattle Dog and I am looking for a purebred or AKC blue female puppy without a cropped tail. Naturally bobbed is OK; I just hate for the little thing to go through that pain. The Heeler I have now is getting some age and has some back problems from chasing squirrels and thunder. Anybody have any puppies in the northern part of the state?
