1996 Registered Arabian Mare. 14 hands, 900 lbs, bay with 2 white socks, 1 white coronet. Clean Coggins just pulled in January, hooves trimmed 2-7-08 and wormed today, 2-14-08. This mare is for sale due to my health issues and the limitations they have presented me with in terms of riding and horse care. Kota is a nice mare--very friendly and people oriented--even loves the vet, stands for farrier, baths, and ties well. Lunges via voice command. She's great under saddle but has mostly been trail ridden as opposed to an arena or school horse--she wtc's both directions, backs, etc, but has always been more of a laid back riding horse than anything. Ridden western and will neck rein. She is fast though, and when you ask her to go, she'll go. Not a kids horse or a first horse and will not be sold as either. Kids and beginners have ridden and can ride her, but that is not what I want for her as she is happier with someone competent who will really ride her. Crosses water and ditches no problem. She is a bit of a "hot" horse and does spook once in a while, but it's always been a spook in place sort of thing. She has never been bred but has bloodlines worthy of being passed on to a future generation. She would also make a nice halter horse for someone who'd be willing to put the time into training her to set up. She's just been my fun horse, my play horse...she's the horse I goofed off on, had fun with, and trail rode...it always fit her personality and we had a great time together, so I never asked her to be anything else.
