Title: SOLD: 5 Yr Old TWH Gelding....FAST & SMOOTH! SOLD!

Proud to announce that Yankee now has a new home with my ferrier!

This is the second horse that is mentioned in my other thread (for the 13 year old TWH). His name is Yankee...5 years old, and he is about 14.1 or 14.3 hands. He's a short feller...and packed full of energy!! He is NOT for a beginner...and he is NOT for someone who likes to lay back and take things easy. He likes to go! For those of you who enjoy a fast horse, who can hit a lick right on down the road...you would know how to appreciate this horse. He racks...and it's nice and smooth....with NO special shoeing. He has a regular keg shoe on. He's got a big enough motor to go all day long.

Yankee is a nice little horse...and he is always the first one to come to the fence to greet us. He really enjoys being with people...once he gets to know them. He tends to be on the leery side...and likes to check things out. He needs someone who would be patient with letting him settle in, and get used to new environments. Yankee is mostly use to wooded trails.

No kicking, no biting. No bucking or rearing. No cribbing or woodchewing either. Sound and healthy. Nice looking horse with good conformation. Soft to the bit, turns and stops well.

I am selling Yankee because I truly believe that he and I "clash". I LOVE a goey horse with a big motor...however, I don't believe this horse is comfortable with me. I bought him from some friends (who I put a LOT of confidence in) who had actually bought him for their 8 year old daughter. The child rode him well in the roundpen and the arena....however, he just had too much "get up and go" for her outside of there. He was very gentle with her though and was very relaxed. He does not seem so relaxed with me, to be honest. I have went through the check-list of possible causes...and I really believe it boils down to...WE JUST DON'T MATCH. So...I'm on a mission to find someone who DOES match him.

I would encourage only an experienced rider to inquire about him...and one who enjoys a very forward and goey horse.
Later this week, Yankee will be going to my ferrier for a couple weeks. My ferrier has rode him before and really liked him...so he is going to ride him around his friends some for "advertising purposes". :B He knows and rides with a lot of folks who really like horses like Yankee.

Pictures of Yankee are below. If anyone is interested in him...please give me a call at 601-394-4827...or email at jessicaandrickie@tds.net I gave $1450 for this horse, but would take $1000 for him. I'll consider any reasonable offer as well.

I'm not looking right now, but your horses look great. Very nicely maintained....beautiful coats, well conditioned, and a good weight. I hope they find homes as nice as the one they're at now. :)

Thanks ya'll. I'm happy to update this ad..as Yankee has a new home. My ferrier has taken him on a trade that we worked out. No, I'm not a horse trader....it just happened that he is enjoying working with Yankee...and he had a horse that my husband and I are crazy about! So, we swapped. In the end, everybody seems happy. :)
