Hi Ya'll. My husband and I are looking for a gaited horse that is broke to pull a buggy as well as ride...preferably a Standardbred, but a TWH would be fine as well. We are really looking for the horse that most folks don't ever want to sell. :wacko: My husband has a horrible work schedule that mostly consists of 7-12's...and I am a stay at home mother of a one year old little girl. Therefor, we need a horse that is able to sit in the field for a couple weeks in between rides..and be the same horse when we ride him. Oh...we prefer a gelding, and color does not matter. Needs to be experienced...so nothing too young...preferably at least seven years old. We would be mostly riding on the highway and blacktop/dirt community roads...so needs to be traffic safe.
Needs to be easy to handle on the ground, as most of the time I have a baby on my hip. ;) Registration is not required.
It would be nice if this horse was quiet enough to ride my little girl around on eventually...as all the horses we have at the moment are too goey for that.

We might possibly be interested in buying a "team"...but both would HAVE to be broke to ride, as well. Nothing green, either.
