I had a friend ride with me to get dusty and she really liked rusty. I have thought about calling him back to find some things out for her. He is really pretty. I dont know which one babe was... would that be the little paint yearling?

Babe is the sorrel Mustang.
Rusty is reduced to $500.
What would you like to know? :)

he had on there that rusty was broke but needed an experienced rider. Now she has riden most of her life but if one bucks or rears with her... its scares her. She can handle one that is just high spirited. Does he buck, rear, etc.. or is it just the typical high spirited prancing of the arabian?

Ok. let me give you some background:
Sis bought Rusty a couple years ago (thereabouts).
Previous owner stated that her 8yo daughter rode him.
He did fine until they had him shod one day. After being shod, Tommy hopped on for a quick ride and Rusty bucked him off.
I told Tommy to get back on. He did. Rusty bucked him off again.
I couldn't get him to get back on a third time. (it was really hilarious, especially since Tommy didn't get hurt).
My personal opinion is the farrier hurt him. That day, all the horses gave him a hard time, even the ones that are usually very good.
Anyway... I've rode Rusty several times with never a problem. He is high spirited and wants to go. He will prance (as if to say "look at me!!" ).
Steph had him at her place for a while and he threw her daughter.
You'll have to ask her for details as I wasn't there.
Previous owner was a believer in Clinton Anderson and used his techniques on Rusty.
His sire was Tammen, so he has some nice bloodlines although he isn't registered.
He's a little pushy on the ground from lack of handling. I have seen a helluva lot worse.
I'm probably leaving something out, but that's the gist of it.
He is a very nice horse with loads of potential if he only had someone to make him use it.
$500 is half what sis paid for him. Her selling him is my idea. I believe a good horse should be enjoyed, not kept as a pasture pet (unless medical conditions forbid riding).
BTW, he's excellent for the farrier. I don't know how he'd do being shod again since they didn't do it anymore after the first time. They just trim him.
I've talked to a few people and the offspring of Tammen usually sell for several thousand dollars, geldings or not.
I think whoever rides him needs to be in full control and not just sitting on his back.
He has to know who the boss is. JMO and no offense to anyone else.

I think he would be to much for her... spirited she can handle... if he even acted like he was going to buck it would be over. I am going to get the word out on him though.. he is beautiful!!!

He looks much better cleaned up.
Thanks. :)

I looked at Rusty before I bought Gizzy. About three times I think. I loved him and from just handling him I knew he'd been trained with Clinton Anderson techniques. Sure enough I spoke with the former owner and she did train him using Clinton's methods.
My only reason for not getting him was that he was smaller than I wanted. He was SO respectful and not a bit pushy at that time. I also rode him just a little that day and he never even offered to act up at all.
When we brought him here he was a little pushy and disprestful buy had started to do better eing handled every day. We were just getting here and I didn't spend a whole lot of time with them. He did throw my daughter but I wasn't looking at exactlly what happened and she was unsure too. We were riding through the pasture.
I think his only flaw is that he is Arabian, he is spirited and will take an experienced rider willing to be the leader in the realationship. He will make someone an fantastic horse.
