Title: Cricket World Cup
Sennin - April 11, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
Anyone actually following it?
It looks a bit too close to call this year, normally I'd be happy to stroll down to the bookies and put some money on it but there's a pretty even chance to winning and losing.
Quite surprised that India and Pakistan went out so early too, the entire subcontinent didn't do that well this year it seems.

Dish Network keeps showing these flashy ads with a boring commentary by some Brit wanting me to pay 39.99 USD to watch the whole thing but I think I'll pass. '_'

I think Australia will win. They always win. I should follow it but I'm just so lazy.
Aurora_sword - April 11, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
I'm not actually interested at all. But I think australia has a chance to win this one.

Some of our best players were out injured, but yeah. We're invincible in cricket, rugby, and swimming
too bad we lost the last swimming world championship to america
Sakuya` - April 11, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
Declare war.
That solves everything. o_o

I thought that was just unlucky, since Ian Thorpe swims like he was born underwater...the man is scary quick.
Plus, you're not completely invincible in Rugby if you can be beaten at home by the English.

I was never really a big fan of Cricket. What teams are competing?

You missed Australia and Luxembourg.
Sakuya` - April 11, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
No room, sorry sur, only 12 countries :(
Sennin - April 11, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
There's always room for Luxembourg...its only a small country.
Sakuya` - April 11, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
That's what they said about Vatican City! O_O

Yeah, and it worked didn't it?
I mean it got the Pope to be wicket-keeper for italy before his untimely death.

Wicket-keeper?
i thought he was starting batsman and their lead spin-bowler.... O_O
I don't think he would be a very good wicket keeper. He couldn't even catch an atheist if it came trudging along his end of the pitch.
Sennin - April 12, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
I must be thinking of the new Pope then, he's got a mean set of child catching hands on him...great for cupping a ball or two that comes his way.
Then again, I suppose its the same for most of the Priests in the catholic faith.
Sakuya` - April 12, 2007 05:27 PM (GMT)
Them catholic priests.
Always ready, always agile!
There's no getting past them, or their logic.
