Job hunting is slow and I've got hours upon hours of free time to kill; I've got about as good as I can at guitar and piano without spending every waking hour at trying to get better, which I have no intention of even attempting, I've got no money to buy new games (though gaming is reasonably shallow as a 'hobby'), I've played most legitimate sports, and I've tried 6 languages and can still speak 2/3 with a reasonable degree of fluency. I've tried my hand at the arts like photography, drawing, painting, and construction.
I just can't think of anything new to do.

tl;dr - My problem is I cant think of a way to spend my hours of boredom constructively and I'm hoping that some bright spark here can help me.

And for the sake of making this a proper topic, describe some of your hobbies.

HA. Well, you just knocked out everything on the hobby list. I have a few that I like to do when I'm not doing schoolwork.

- Make audio dramas for my favorite games/make fandubs for unlicensed anime.
- Attempt painting on Photoshop, but that doesn't work out.
- Audition for as many amateur projects as I can. >>

If I can get the sheet music and loads of uninterrupted practice time I could give it a go, though saying that I've never heard any so it really depends on how complex it is.

If you have alot of imagination, you could try some of the following. I do it a fair bit.

- Begin writing a series and delve yourself into it, make it something real in your head and complex. Make up a whole world of interaction and stuff along with it. Usually it starts with a basic idea, then you build around it and within a while your brains bursting with idea's creating a story bible as it were. I find myself then wanting to expand it from just writing to artwork of it, and also to my next point, creating a game with it. As if you're making your own franchise.

- Make a game, always fun if you want to put your own imagination to use and no other game is really doing it. The fun way is Gamemaker, found at www.gamemaker.nl. Just learn how to do it and you can build awaym, the program itself is very user friendly and you can make pretty complex stuff with it if you learn specific stuff.. It's very time consuming though and you usually have to solve problems your own programming skills made in the first place. But once you put everything into motion it's fun to play it back.

I won't suggest the sports I do, Surfing and Snowboarding, as you already mentioned you are short on cash. Needless to say neither take up wads of cash (neccesarily). But if you ever did get the chance to do it, I would reccomend it. Addictive stuff.
