Title: How do I upgrade my phone's firmware?

So I heard the new firmware has a few bug fixes here and there, which I need. Also I want to change the skin. But the problem is, my Motorola V3x can't connect directly to my computer. It needs a special software to manage it. That means, I can't dig into my phone's memory, so how do I put the skin (which I have already downloaded) in?

Phones are for calling people up, aslong as it does that... who cares? I carry around an ancient model myself, though I like to call it "retro".
