Title: China bans Reincarnation
Kaneda - August 26, 2007 09:17 AM (GMT)
I didn't even know you could do this.So...do Chinese ghosts also need a permit before they can haunt a house?

The Tibetan mystic system is a system of false or pseudo- propositions. This is not possibly a system that the West would love to admit to its own mainstream culture.
A minority of the Tibetan people have benefited from this system, because it gives them absolute and even divine power. Many ordinary people are still holding on to this system, because they have been denied access to any alternative forms of civilisation including Western enlightenment and science.
While the West is keen to introduce democracy and science to China and N Korea, there is no reason why they should not give a round of loud applause to the Han-Chinese who are making an effort to enlighten the Tibetan-Chinese on science and technology.
Let the sun rays of democracy and science shine on the land of Tibet and let them dispel the dark clouds of mysticism that imprisoned the Tibetan people for so long.

A-Aurora?! That couldn't have been you.
I'm not sure, but I guess the Ghostbusters finally got a seat in a government.
Yoshiyuki - August 27, 2007 12:51 AM (GMT)
Please, Aurora. What you're encouraging is the extinction of a culture. GTFO.

Well, I copy pasted it from one of the comments.
Hey I thought the communism in China ended?
And there are no ghosts involved @Kaneda&Hito! 'Dude, it's reincarnation!
Also, look at this quote from one of the comments
| QUOTE |
| People should at least know what they are talking about before they start to talk. For all those people out their feel bad for tibetians, DON'T waste your time, they are happier than ever! I know because I just came back from there. |
Soo, there's two sides to every story.

The cities in China are really progressive, but the rural areas are hardcore communist. It's weird :/
Aurora_sword - August 27, 2007 05:41 AM (GMT)

oh ok, I just read
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Republic_of_ChinaI thought since they have a prime minister/president, they'd be a parliamentary, federal system thing.
Isn't a communist country supposed to have a dictator? like Kim Jong Il
Otaru - August 27, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
You don't know what communism is...
Aurora_sword - August 27, 2007 01:28 PM (GMT)
