The Plot
Before
Much like the world we live in today, the world of Limitless was corrupt with world affairs, money, and poverty. The wolf population kept getting thinner and thinner as the years passed by, dieing out because of the humans need for expansion and growth. Territories and habitats for the wolves, and many other animals, grew few. Humans took over the planet, their technology never giving up on them and they relied on it like candy. Although, they were not as smart as they thought they were. The man made products they used created a chemical that caused mass destruction to the nature and wild life around them. Plants died, forests turned to dust were ripped apart, animals in their prime conceived illness and thousands of populations died out—the once flourished becoming endangered—the endangered becoming extinct—the extinct only becoming memories in the lands time.
Nature decided that she had had enough of her lands being turned upside down. So, to retaliate against the humans creations she made storms, worsened global warming, and went mad for the sake of destroying the human race and their pitiful ways of life. In the process, her rage deceived her and instead of just getting rid of the humans she also took a part in killing everything in sight.
However the humans never gave up on their useless toys, thinking they were more powerful then nature itself. Although all of their high tech computers and such, would not stop the on slot of rage against them. They were helpless. They resulted to using nature against nature, to simply put it, they used wolves. Mechanically and scientifically altered wolves that had a limitless supply of skills, strength and a sort of immortality. They called these wolves, ‘Altered wolves’. Taking them from what was left of their homes and transporting them in large groups to Granur city. In Granur they were tested, poked and prodded until they were either passed off as alters, or thrown away deep within the laboratories and confined as unsuccessful test subjects.
There were more then enough wolves transphormed, but there were only three that stood out to the humans as the most strong, diligent, and courageous wolves. For some reason, only three possessed higher qualities then the rest. They were stronger and smarter then their average chemically altered wolf. The humans created a new bread, starting with the three; Neira, Rafe, and Tomas O’Rithern. They were strong, but not quite up to the challenge to save the humans. The three separated them selves from the humans, and refused to help them and fight against nature. The humans were beaten at their own game, tied at the roots of where their life began and soon came to a gruesome ending. Wolves were their creation, wolves were their downfall.
After
Soon after most of the humans no longer could survive and 70% of their population was wiped out, the three wolves were put to rest under suspicions that they were too smart and would over come the rest of the humans and waste away their entire population. Not wanting that to happen, the few that still survived took the wolves to three different locations, separated from each other in a desert, an old temple, and an encased tomb of rocks. Death over took them and they were created into stone statues portraying the wolves they once were. Below each statue it tells of their stories, and also warning others to not remove their statues or the worst would happen; they would once again live upon the lands of limitless.
The altered wolves still live on today, in the year 2026. The planet has been wasted away, slowly but undoubtedly into a complete wasteland. Uninhabitable by anyone. These wolves stepped in, and made the world their own. Keeping to the natural balance and rules of nature, earth was theirs to manipulate and dissipate with their own paws. As powerful as they were, as smart as they could possible be, they too could not succeed in stopping nature. So they relied on their predecessors and lived like the beasts they were. They could not stop nor withstand nature so they needed to rely on the three. The three wolves that were the only ones capable to defeat nature, they could have done it 20 years ago but that was for the human’s sake. In thinking that being wolves was a different story then the humans, they worked with each other in order to revive the three wolves to stop nature in retaliating against them.
A land once treasured by many, now corrupt and hopeless. The humans, or what is left of their species, have evolved away from technology and rely on what they need to survive. Although, they no longer posses the life they used to and are known for their appearance, or disappearance as some may put it for they have no face. They are deemed no longer as humans or man kind, but now they are the no face beings. The wolves were forced to live with the no faced beings, shunted from the forests, from the mountains, and now turned to the city limits. A small town that feared change that stood out to the wolves was Nocturn City, the southern most town quiet with its cold no faced creatures and even more so with its weather. Here at the edge of the city is where many gathered, wolves from far came to this city for its scent carried them through the harsh storms. They soon called it Nocturn Gathering, for the wolves would not stop coming. The no faced beings paid no attention, some losing their lives to the wolves to become food. None stood in the wolves’ way, for their faces were taken because their dignity was shot.
But…no matter how hard they tried to fit in with the world around them. Nocturn would never give the wolves what they needed in order to survive. They craved change, to get out of the crappy town, and head to a place they call Limitless Paradox were they would be reunited with the three wolves, and return limitless to the lands they once knew. However, with every task needed to revive the three wolves there comes a consequence. Each one of the three no longer posses their old bodies, they must recreate their bodies but since technology is no longer a problem on the limitless lands there is no way to recreate their old bodies. Instead once a certain wolf is centered onto a wolf's tomb alter their bodies will become one of the three's body. And the wolf that volunteered will no longer exist.
