I asked the BOD for 5 minutes to bring to the attention of the members a very important bill that passed the Senate on Wednesday. I was denied. That's ok...it's too political (hehe, not in this leage ;) ).
Check out Senate Bill 16 - see how the State wants to use your tax dollars to prosecute and defend frivolous law suits against tax-paying businesses and their employees.http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/bills.cfm?ID=127_SB_16The Adult (oh my..... :o she said ADULT) industry generates
$250 MILLION for Ohio. For those of you who don't know...yes, I work in the "ADULT" :o (oh goodness...there she goes again ;) ) industry. Guess that makes me a horrible person... hahaha
Lap Dances  (for all those guys who pretend they've never had one or wanted one ;) ) are a thing of the past. Want to be charged with a
FIRST DEGREE MIDEMEANOR....get a lap dance or be convicted of Vehicular Homicide (its the same charge). Ladies, don't think you're immune - you won't get close to those Chippendale Dancers in Ohio!
Don't let those CAVS Dance Team girls get too close to patrons at the Q--they've got to be 6' away now because they dance "semi nude".
Think unemployment is bad...think of all the people who WILL lose their jobs because businesses WILL BE FORCED to close at Midnight because they are classified "adult".
Ohio has the 5th HIGHEST tax rate in the country! We don't have any other issues - no problems in our schools, no crime in our streets, no hungry or homeless or residents who can't afford medical treatment or medicine. That's right - we only have to worry about the strippers, dancers, cabarets and bookstore owners.
Oh and while you're at it....thank the company I am employed by for the
SUPPORT THEY'VE GIVEN THIS LEAGUE. How many "adult" baskets have been donated for raffles and how much money was raised by the sale of tickets? How much money was donated in sponsorship for the re-birth of the LAKE ERIE CLASSIC.
That's ok....we'll fight this battle for all of you...
IT'S NOT ABOUT ADULT, IT'S ABOUT FREEDOM!!!! We're collecting signatures and will hand deliver them to the Governor asking him to PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND PROTECT OUR TAX DOLLARS and veto this bill.
If anyone is interested in signing a letter...please contact me.
