Title: Fundraisers

We are looking for fresh ideas for fundraisers for the Lake Erie Classic this fall as well as for other league functions including the all star teams. We also need volunteers to run said fund raisers.
My wife Cheryl did an unbelievable job with 50/50s last year due to the fact that she doesn't play dats and was able to devote a lot of attentoin to them at tournaments. unfortunately she is now working 3rd shift and can't put as much time and effotr in.
Please feel free to chime in with any ideas you can come up with. Thanks.

Just a thought, but try doing something with some percentage of the proceeds going to a local charity. It may be a way of getting some more people involved, not just the all-stars.

just a thought but is there any money made on the t-shirts or polo shirts. maybe get some cool LEDA shirts made, would also promote the the league.

If I'm not mistaken we have a hard time breaking even on the Classic shirts every year. I would like to see some color thrown in though. That is definately a thought. I might see what it would cost to get the guy that did our team shirts to have a league shirt designed. Just to see what they could come up with. Or even a Lake Erie Classic shirt to celebrate the bigger tournament this year.

We have a Dinner and tournament fundraiser scheduled for June 9th at the Stadium Grill in Mentor on Tyler Blvd.
We have Men's and Women's Singles, Mixed doubles and a blind Draw scheduled.
There will be an all you can eat Rigitoni Dinner, with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread. Cash bar. The flyer for the tournament times is posted on the web page.
Dinner Only is $8.00
Children under 12 is $5.00
Dinner and Blind Draw is $12.00

Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event.
We will be selling tickets at the banquet also.

Glad no one has asked for the ever loving ADULT basket to raffle off..... that would be taboo :wub: :rolleyes: !!! I know we don't have any hypocrites reading this forum. Who was it that said "they made so much money for the league"??????
