OK. I know I might get beat up for this, but that's okay. I was told that if you hit a 180 or 171 in trails, that score is recognized by Leda and you will get a pin or something. In the score book both of these hits are worth 4 points.

My question is. How come 3 double bulls, that are worth more (5 points) are not recognized or worth anything? I feel that this is as hard or not harder to hit than 3 trip 20's or 19's. Maybe I'm wrong, and that is why I'm making this post. Is there a pin or something for this? Or just points?

I agree that throwing three double bulls should be recognized somehow. I've been throwing for a while now and have seen quite a few 180's. I can count the number of three double bulls I've seen thrown on one hand. I'm just glad you were on my team when you threw them today.

It is harder to hit 3 double bulls. That's why it's worth 5 as opposed to 4 for the 180 or 171.

As for why not a pin, I don't know. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the beginnings of the league to give you a good answer. My guess is (and it is just that, a guess) that a 180 is the pinnacle, the maximum score you can get, and they added the 171 in for players who throw at 19's instead of 20's. Since 3 double bulls would "only" be worth 150, it would seem a little strange at that point.

I dont know but I would be willing to see if I can give extra points for hitting 180's 171' and 3 double bulls..Just like on Wed. league night...Let me know what you think..Its no pin or plaque but atleast it would be something.

Thanks Dusty. I just want to make clear to anyone reading this, I don't want this to be a big deal. Awards are given based on performance, as it should be. I also agree hitting a 180 or 171 is the most point shot. Phil Taylor doesn't go to the board in a 501 match trying to hit 3 double bulls when he knows that's only 150 points vs. 180. I'm more concerned when it is done during a cricket game.
