Title: Congratulations Mike Dobish

Craig - August 10, 2007 03:09 AM (GMT)
I personally want to congratulate Mike Dobish for winning the first season of the 501 league. Great Job!!!

Mike overpowered most of his competiton. Mike shot very consistant darts and won easily most Thursdays.

Mike hit sub 20 dart 501 games on a regular basis. His best of 14 darts (hit multiple times) was a season best. Phil Taylor averages 102 in tournaments. 14 dart 501 is a 107 average (pretty awesome).

I invite all of you looking at this post to come and try this league. This isn't as easy as you think. The possibilty of playing 19 games of 501 in one night is very tiring. If you think you can hit your doubles on a regular basis, bring it!

This has been quite fun. I wish I could have performed better, but who doesn't. I know going into Wednesday league night, I have the upper hand in 501.

If you see Mike, congratulate him, he earned First Place!!

I also want to thank Chris Baus, Tony Neal, Ian Miller, Jason (Rockstar) Nelson, Tom Somolis, Dan Boyce. You all have been real cool. This was fun for Thursday. I look forward to many of the top area darters to join soon.

Congratulations are definitely in order. It's been very competitive, and each week has shown something that has made me add something to my spreadsheet. I'll do this when the season's over, too, but thanks to Chris Baus, Craig Day, Mike Dobish, Ian Miller, Tony Neal, Rockstar, and Tom Samolis for coming out each week, giving your best efforts, and making Season 1 a success.

Also, thanks to the people who have come out to watch, too. It's one thing to be in a match when everyone who finished early is watching you play, but when you turn around and you've got several others watching you, it's pretty cool.

I'm still taking names of players who want to participate in the Fall Season. Please let me know at dan.j.boyce@us.abb.com

Mike Dobish
Craig Lemponen

Tony Neal
Tom Samolis
Jason Griffin (said he was in on Thursday)

No, I'm not going. I have a party I'm going to at 5.

Dannyboy, I'm adding names to your list as I am told they want to play. Hope that's ok with you. I'm looking forward to the fall league. I hope more people decide to come out. It has really been a great time.

The more the merrier! I've been kicking around a few ideas. We can talk about it this week.

I'm out if Timmy's playing. ;)

Craig - August 16, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
I'm with Mike. I'm not playing if he's playing. I might as well give him my money personally.

dboy131 - August 16, 2007 08:44 PM (GMT)
I'll donate, I could use the write-off.

timmyp - August 17, 2007 02:21 AM (GMT)
I really have those two fooled.

timmyp - August 17, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
