~~Set in a more modern time but with a Naruto twist.~~~~~

The sun's rays turned the water of the lake a pale orange as the patrons to the Fading Sunlight Bar started to drift in for a night of drinking,food and companionship. Laughter and music filled the air of the bar while waitresses and waiters served the patrons.

Deep green eyes watched from the shadows of the bar as their owner made her rounds to keep the more unruly people in line. Though the bar itself wasn't very big, they had quite the crowd that night. Fights were liable to happen at any time and the bouncers were always ready to escort the offenders out to the streets or toss them out into the lake that was basicaly out side the back door.

"Aura, got a minuet?" the woman heard the bartender call out. Stepping from the shadows, a woman with shoulder length black hair wearing a dark red shirt, black pants and boots made her way across the floors to the bar. She glanced over at the dance floor making sure another bouncer had seen her leave her spot. After a few moments of soft spoken words, the female bouncer and bartender parted back to their jobs.

A man enters the bar, reachin about the hieght of 6'1, looking to weigh perhaps 180 pounds. Some people takes notice of this man's entrace, not because of his hieght, but for his spiky silver hair that stands out the most. With shades on, his eyes cannot be determined of what they presently are, but a scar is visible between the eyes. He takes upon the view before him and straightens out his black leather jacket, his black fingerless gloves, having small silver pebbles around the fist area as though it was made for combat, compliements the matchin of his silver hair. Pullin out a cell phone from his dark blue jeans, he looks at the time. "hrm..."

He walks amongst the crowds, as he looks through his cellphone, as though he was on a search for someone, or something. Unknowingly, he lightly bumps into a woman, but he doesn't say anything, but just stands there, his fingers hittin the button on the cell, making the small beepin sounds.

Aura looked back at the man that had bumped her and shook her head a bit. She was only 5'4" her boots having a slight heel making her look a little taller. Way too many tall people... she mused to herself in a joking manner. "You won't get much of a signal in here. The equipment blocks it." She said to the man as she continued her way to the back of the dance floor to finish her rounds.

The man takes a moment to look at his surroundings, hearing a voice. Not really paying attention to what she said, he knows he heard something about a signal for his phone, so forth catching his attention. As a last resort, he looks down, and sees a short woman, who's now walking away from him towards a distination. Before she could have a chance, he grabs her wrist, a lil forceful without realizing it, with no ill-mannered tintion. Lookin back at his cell, he speaks. "What was that 'shorty'?" A bad habit of his having to call people out through obviouse observations....

Green eyes narrowed at being grabbed like that as it caught her off guard. "Let my wrist go, please." She said her voice even as she kept herself from getting too defensive. She didn't want to call attention to the man and cause a scene unless he decided to actually get violent. "You won't get a good signal in here. The equipment from the band and from the kitchen interfear with any cell phones in the area. As well as we are a little too far from the nearest relay tower." She explained.

"Oh?" He questions, as if almost showing no signs of interest. A brow raises from behind the shades, as his eyes shifts view from the cell, and the girl before him. He closes the cell, and puts on a huge grin. As though ignoring what she just said, he speaks bluntly. "Yo shorty!" He takes a moment, seeing that he's holding her wrist. Blankly he asks, "How did your wrist get to my hand?"

Aura stared at the man a moment then placed her free hand to her forhead closing her eyes muttering something under her breath that couldn't be caught. "You grabbed it to ask what I said." She replied simply. "And quit callling me shorty. But if you would be so kind as to release me, I have to get back to work." she raised her eyes to him as she lowered her hand.

"Oooh!" He keeps a goofy smile, as though a hint of interest just stroke in him. "So you work here shorty?" It seems he has a short attention span... He lets go of her hand, and places it under his chin as if going to thinking "mode." Observing her closely, he makes a random, yet somewhat related mark, "So you're a waitress here? Makes sence!!!" Making a first with one of the hands, he hits it against the palm of his other hand as though he just solved a mystery. "Short, cute, makes you perfect for the job!" He looks back down at her, his eyes still hiding behind the shades. "Am I right?" He asks with a smirk of confidence.

Aura took a breath and released it slowly her head already hurting from the loud music this guy was just adding to it. "Wrong. I'm one of the bouncers." She said just knowing he wasn't going to believe her. Very few people did after all. She may have been short but she was a firecracker when she was angry or had to break up a fight. And being short had it's advantages. Most people didn't duck to try and hit her... they just took swings missing her by quite a bit. "Please enjoy your stay sir. One of our waitresses will be with you shortly once you find a table or the bartender will take your drink order should you decide to sit there." she said with a small nod of her head once more trying to get back to her rounds.

He follows her, with a huge smile on his face. "Ooooh! So you're a tour guide!?" Once again, he had another short attention span, and now his assumption are going waaaay off. Cuppin his hands behind his head, he continues to follow, watching her closely. "Yes! YES! That makes sence! that explains the reasons why you're tellin me all this and showing me around." As dumb as he sounds, he seems innocent enough to anyone. But behind those shades, it is somewhat hard to tell of his true intentions. "So, where're we going now Shorty?"

Aura could hear some of the regulars snickering at her irritation of the man but she kept her cool. "I'm showing you to a table sir." She said as kindly as she could with out grounding out the words. She caught the eye of one of the other bouncers who was trying hard not to laugh at the shortest worker there. Oh this is going to be fun to deal with... She thought with a soft sigh.

"Huh? A table?" He looks at her with a somewhat sad expression for a moment. But afterwards, he puts on another goofy smile. "Oh! This is what they call a date!?" Placing a hand on his hip, and the other hand patting her on the shoulder. "Haha! Well, guess I can't blame you for wanting to have a date with me. As a man who been asked out by a cute girl, it's impossible for me to refuse!" Once again, going waay off on his assumptions. "Alright Shorty, lets get to it." He speaks in a somewhat manly voice, with both hands on hips trying to look all posture-like. While doing that, his eyes looks about the surroundings, as though he was making sure the place was clear.... But of what?

Aura, to the shock of many of the patrons, began to laugh at the man. She couldn't help it. It was either laugh or get angry and she had chosen to laugh. "Sir, what is your name?" She asked a little bemused as she stopped by an empty table near where she was assigned. She placed on hand on her hip as she heard someone getting a little louder than they needed to be her eyes glancing in the direction.

"My name?" He blinks a couple of times, as he looks at her. Puttin a hand in a pocket, the other running through his short, spiky silver hair, trying to look cool. "It's Joshua..." He speaks in a sexy voice. Though, shortly after, what caught Aura's attention, also caught his. Though, he keeps his eyes on the prize at the moment, watching Aura closely. "So, what made you want to go out with me? Must be the looks, right? Yeah, that's usualy it..." His eyes shifts back towards the loudness that is bickering over on the otherside...

"Looks don't mean a damned thing to me. They tend to hide just what kind of person someone is." Aura said off handedly as she turned from him and watched the ones who were bickering. "Besides... I work here as I said before. Escuse me." she said giving him a slight nod of his head as she went over to the table that was causing trouble, signaling for one of the other bouncers for back up as was company policy. "I'll have to ask you gentlemen to leave." She said stopping beside the table earning glares and one of them getting out of their seat.

"Hrm..." Joshua just couldn't resist... Without making a sound, like a nimble cat, he sneakenly gets on top of the table in a crouch position, staring down at one of the people making trouble. Sadly to say, it seems he might cause some innocent trouble due to his curiousity. Glaring at the person, their faces only being 3 inches apart, his eyes can barely be seen through the lens, showin as if his eyes are glowing. "She's my girl." He bluntly states through that quiet, arrogant tension.

"Oh brother..." Aura muttered causing her partner to chuckle at her when he finally got through the crowd.

"Aura... you meet the most intersting people..." her partner said as he looked at the man on the table.

"Shut it, Thomas." She said as she caught the wrist of one of the people at the table as they made a swing at Joshua. "Out you go." She said pulling the man from the chair, Thomas following suit with a couple of the others that were sitting there as well.

Watching the telegraph punch that the man was going to try to deliver, Joshua right hand quickly reaches to his back, underneath his jacket as though to grab something, but stops when Aura grabs the man and drags him off. Joshua slowly returns his hand to position and follows Aura from a slight distant. He speaks in a somewhat seriouse tone. "Aura, we need to talk." He speaks her name, showing signs that him meeting her was not meer coincidence, as she deals with the man.

Aura paused a moment at the door, handing the man over to one of the other bouncers. "I'm going on break. Call me if something happens." She told Thomas as she turned to face Joshua. "Here or somewhere private?" She asked her hand on her hip and green eyes carefuly guarded.

Both hands going into his pockets, he walks up to her closely. He stops infront of her, he pulls out his cell phone and flips it open, showing a picture of her face in his little screen. "If all means, private." He speaks in a much quieter tone.

A low growl escaped Aura's throat without her meaning it. Her eyes got a little darker as she looked from the cell phone to Joshua. "Follow me then." She said turning on her heel and heading for a room near the back of the club. She took out her cardkey and opened the door to the break room the workers used. She stepped aside to allow Joshua through questions going through her mind.

Joshua closes the cell, and puts it away in his pocket. With both hands in his pockets, he follows her with a carefree attitude and enters the break room. With his back facing her, he slowly raises his shades to the top of his head, asking her a question. "So Shorty..." Still callin her by the nick name he gave her. "Why did you run?" He asks, out of his own curiousity, not involving with the true reasons he's here. "You know that the other clan members will come after you if they find out you're alone..." He asks, both hands being in pockets once more. It would seem that Joshua knows a thing or two about her.

After making sure the door was secured, Aura went over to one of the tables and sat down, thinking about Joshua's question. A low chuckle escaped her as she leaned back in the chair her arms crossed over her chest. "They found out I faked my death then." She stated causualy. "I know they will. It's not like I didn't know what my actions would result in if they found out." She was quiet a moment still not having answered his question yet. "I was already marked for death. I had no reason to stay so I left. Not without making one hell of an exit though."

Joshua lets out a light sigh. He turns to face her, his eyes being in full view. Though, his eyes were not normal, not of a human to say the least. More like the pupil of it is of a feline, as the rest falls to a dark orange, a unique color indeed. He takes a few steps towards Aura calmly. Lookin at her with his cat-like eyes, he speaks. "So you decided to fake your death and run off... That's original." His face says still, in his seriouse look. "You know, they told me to track you down, and bring you back by 'any' means neccesary.." He looks away for a moment. "But I am just a man for hire... The highest bidder always the winner.." It would seem that in Joshua world, money, and other 'treasures' he deem worthy are far more worth. He lets her take note of his words..

She studied him a few moments before she even spoke. Aura had figured that he was sent to hunt her just from his questions. It may not have been orginal the way she left but at the time, it was the only option she was given. "I'm not going back." Aura said her voice low yet it was very calm and even as she looked at him. "Not without a fight and even then death would be the only way I'd return to that hell."

"...." Joshua just lets out a sigh. "C'mon now, don't make this any harder then it should be Shorty." ~shink~ A sound of a kunai is heard, one slippin out of his sleeve and into the grip of his hands. He places the butt end of it in his index finger and starts spinnin it around. "I tell you what..." Joshua crouches, to be at eye level with her, only being about 6 inches apart from eachother, his warm breathing lightly touches against her, the kunai still spinnin on his finger. "If you can negotiate with me that will catch my interest, I might drop my mission." He says with a slightly seductive smirk, completely different from his other facial expressions. "So, care to bargain?"

Aura pushed her chair back and got up. She chanced turning her back on Joshua as she walked to one of the walls. She didn't look at him as she thought about a few things, her fingers playing with a golden locket she wore. "In all honesty, I have nothing that would be of intrest to you. Nor the money to counter what they are most likely paying you." She said turning to face him finally, her back leaning against the wall as she did so. "and I won't stoop to offering myself for your use either." she said the last a low growl escaping her. No matter how intersting he is. She added to herself mentaly.

Joshua's smirk widens a little more, his small fangs being slightly visible. Perhaps it is his "animal" instincs kickin in, in needing for a mate for the night. Regardless of what, he is still somewhat conciouse of what he's thinking and doing. Hearing her last sentence he stands, walkin towards her still spinning the kunai on his index finger. As he closes in on her, he gets a little aggresive, stopping the kunai from spinning and piercing it into the wall behind her over her head. Now, he rests his arms against the wall over her, he is somewhat leaned against her, his nose lightly touching her neck as though sniffing her out. "Is that so? You don't sound too sure of yourself Shorty...." His voice was slightly different from the usual.

Aura closed her eyes, her hands clenching into fists as she set her jaw. "Stop calling me that." She said her voice even. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest at him being that close to her. She didn't like the feeling of being trapped. She tended to get violent when that feeling got very strong. "I will not give myself to you just to keep you from taking me back." She opened her eyes looking at him. "I have to get back to work... If you want to finish this discussion you'll have to wait until after my shift ends."

His instincts will not give up so easily, even if he wanted too. Grabbing one of her hands, he forcefully pushes it against the wall. His strength is not of human of now, as an intense aura thickens between them. His lips, lightly traces against her skin from the neck, hovering about her face, and the lips. Then he deepens himself a little more, letting her warm breath reach her ear. As for his other hand, it traces out her whole side, going down to her hip. "It won't be that easy..." He whispers into her ear, as the hand from the hip, slowly moves down between her legs, lightly rubbin the sensitive area. A light purr is heard from his throught.

She tried to struggle failing to get out of his grip. Aura was not use to this at all. Her body compleatly froze up on her as she felt his hand trailing along her side and hip. His words sent shivers down her. "Let me go..." She said her voice sounding weak, something that was so unlike her. She felt her cheeks flush with embarassment and something more as his hand rubbed her. His purr sent another shiver down her spine. "Don't... not here... please." Her words were pleading.

"And why not?" He whispers teasingly. Afterwards he lightly licks the edges of her ears, enjoying her scent and taste, he lightly nibbles her ear, at the same time, his hand rubs against her a little rougher, being positive that he weakens her in this state. "My, my... Is this exciting you?" He asks teasingly once more, as another purr is heard, his eyes slightly glowin with a mischivouse look about them.

Aura hated to admit that she was getting excited as he put it. "There is a video camera in here you idiot." She said softly. "I'd rather not have my boss fire me for such... adventures on the job..." She was having trouble keeping her voice from wavering but she wasn't joking about the security camera. She had chose this room because of it in case things got out too out of hand.

Joshua just puts on a devilish smirk, looking at her eye, to eye. "Then I'll just have to take care of it afterwards." After that was said, the hand that was rubbing her quickly picks up one of her legs, and he rubs his "member" against her. Even though wearing pants, the warmth of it can be felt. "Or we can make a deal..." He tilts his head, and closen in on her neck, lickin it with the tip of his tungue, then speaks again as he rubs himself against her. "If you submit yourself to me, we can stop this here, and continue at another time... Or, while the heat still on... I think you prefer this... You're very excited, I can tell.." Though, his instincts will not allow him to back away, his making a wager where he can still win either way.

A low moan escaped Aura's lips much to her embarassment concidering the situation when he rubbed himself against her. She bit her lip, drawing blood as she felt his tongue against her neck and his words. This was something she couldn't back out of it seemed. "I'll submit..." She said her voice low. "Again though, not here. I don't feel comfortable doing something like this here..." Mentaly she was yelling at herself at how easily she gave in... how she didn't even fight this time.

Joshua smirks, licking the blood from her lips. Speaking in a seductive voice, "I'll be waiting then." But before pulled back, he runs his hand between her legs once more, and smirks wildly. "It's a little damp." He says as he rubs his fingers against eachother. Letting his shades fall back in where they were, he backks up some. "Just when it was getting fun. But I'll keep my end of the bargain." He turns around heading for the exit. "Don't try to weasel your way out of it, you'll never lose me..."

Aura glared lightly at his back shivering a bit from the cooler air hitting her. "I won't." She said as she stepped from the wall. She knew the rest of the night was going to feel long... and she'd be jumping at her shadow. Just what have I gotten myself into? SHe thought as she headed to the door as well.

Joshua has already dissapeard from sight. Thus, on the roof of the building from across. He sneakenly puts down a talisman and says a small chant, and he repeats this process at other locations, surrounding the ares. The talismans allows him to block other people presence, in order to keep Aura's location hidden, as well as his own. And because of this, it also alows him to take notice of any intruders who passes the seals. "Tonight, going to be a good night."

Night wore on quickly and as the clocks struck three in the morning, the last of the patrons were ushered out of the bar. Aura and the other bouncers escorted the other workers out to their vechials and then took their own leave after the bar was cleaned up.

"Aura, something got you distracted?" Thomas asked as the two made their way out to the dock. Both lived on the other side of the lake.

"Yes and no, Tom." Aura answered a little distracted. "Do you mind if Gracie and Hope stay with you tonight? I'm needing to get my head cleared of somethings..."

"No prob, Aura." Thomas said as they waited for the ferry. "Heaven loves those girls so it's no problem them staying over."

"Thanks, Tom." She replied smiling lightly.

A silver cat appears before Aura. It's orange eyes piercing through the dark. The cat slowly walks towards her, and within range, presses his body against her leg, its tail somewhat wrapping around her leg, meowing at her out of innocence and attentoin.
