Reno picked up a handful of sand outside his tent and watched as it ran through his fingers. It was a chilly night at the moment, but he refused to stop his research. Reno was out that cold night to figure out the rules of the universe. He wanted to know how everything worked since he wasn't needed at his usual job of killing people and obtaining information.
He stood tall and took out a piece of glass from his pocket, looking at the left over grains through it.

Manami saw him as a spec of black against the sand. She smirked. This should be fun, she thought and approached him slowly. The cold had no effect on her, nor did the sand that the wind whipped at her legs. She had come from the wastelands and was on her way to the temple when she found him. She took a deep breath and made hand signs, hoping this would work, "Kage Bunshin no jutsu" She muttered and snickered a bit as copies of herself.

Reno felt the sand shift under him as Manami cloned herself. He put up the glass piece, drawing out a sword.
"Who is there?" he asked, dropping the sand.

Manami appeared behind him, a kunai to his throat. "Your death" she smirked, the other 'manami's' were underground, unable to be seen.

"And your reason for this? I happen to be busy, girl," Reno said.

"A mission from Ian." Manami smirked, "What, not even going to fight back?" She asked, pressing the blade against his skin.

Reno sighed.
"Should have known. Actually, I do not like to fight, but since my life is on the line, I don;t really have a choice," he said, shoving the blade behind him.
He took her hand, pushing it away form his neck.

Manami gasped as the blade went straight through her stomach, at the last second she dissappeared in a poof of smoke, leaving the blade bloodless. More Manami's hopped up out of the sand. They all threw senbon needles and kunai knives at him.

Reno drew out a dagger, blocking most of the needles and knives, but the rest gently grazed his skin. He didn't flinch when the wounds opened. Reno swung his blade at the clones.
A small silver snake with wings appeared, slithering through the sand to attack the original when she appeared.

Most of Manami's clones blocked the attacks but a few were hit and disappeared. One smirked and threw shuriken at the small silver snake. The original was watching carefully a good distance away.
The clones charged at Reno, kunai knives in hand and slashed at him.

Reno brought his sword around once more, growling low.

The snake turned as the shuriken hit the ground. It gave out a loud hiss, diving below the sand.

The original smirked and sighed happily. She reached into a pocket and pulled out a scroll, "Perfect." She made more clones and then appeared with them around Reno. She unrolled the scroll and bit her thumb. She smiled brightly and dragged her bleeding thumb on the scroll, summoning weapons. She smirked and threw the weapons, blade first at Reno.

Reno's eyes widened and he pulled his arms infront of his face, the weapons grazing his skin.
"I demand you to stop. I wish not to hurt you," he yelled when the weapons stopped.

"Sorry buddy, it's my job to get rid of your murdering ass." The Manamis said in unison. "You can call me a hypocrite all you like but I WILL be the death of you" She said darkly

"I do not kill. I spy and take. Besides...you have no right," Reno said.

The snake rose out of the sand, biting onto one of the Manami clones.

"I'm just following orders" Manami said, the clone poofed away, a few others threw knives and shuriken at the snake. "And that's never stopped me before" she said, smirking. She made hand signs, bit her thumb again and slammed her hand on the ground. "Summoning jutsu! Twin Black wolves!" She growled and two black wolves appeared at her side. "Get rid of the snake." She said to one. It nodded then ran over to the snake, bearing it's teeth and growling. She smirked and made a simple hand movement and the second wolf charged at Reno.

Reno suddenly growled low, his eyes turning a darker green. He took out a small orb and threw it at the wolf that was charging at his familiar, only to get tackled by the wolf.
"You leave Gen out of this!" Reno yelled.


The snake burried under the ground again, appearing behind another Manami.

"Why? You'll be dead" Manami laughed, "But if that's your dying wish. Fine." She called off the wolf going after the snake and made it attack Reno. "Though if it keeps trying to attack me" One clone started, "It will die" Another finished. Another took a kunai and approached Reno who was pinned by the wolves on the ground. "Any last words?" It asked, pressing the blade against his jugular.

"I have several. One, No regrets. Two, do me a favor and give Gen to a fire demon named Pyro when I die. And finally, third, if you ever take any more jobs from Ian, I will come back from my grave and kill you," Reno growled.

"Erm, good for you, whatever and, yeah sure you will" The real Manami said. She slashed his throat, leaving a deep cut all the way across. "Have fun choking on your own blood" She giggled and made all the clones disappear. She took the time to dig a hole. "While I may be a killer at least I clean up the mess I made" She said. When the hole was deep enough she put Reno in. "Wanna say some words Gen" She teased before pushing the sand over it.

Gen growled low and bared his fangs, going to attack her again.

"Yeah Yeah, sorry I killed your master but it had to be done." Manami told him. "He was a murderer and a theif, at least I'm giving him a proper burial." She said, finishing her job of burrying Reno. She marked the grave with his tent and sighed. "You coming or not" She said, holding out a hand to the snake.

Gin growled low, spreading its wings and hissing low.

"What I'm going to take you to this Pyro person!!! If you want to die out here then fine I'll leave you." Manami said, getting up and dusting herself off.

Gin growled again and circled himself on her ankle. He made some sort of pouting sound.

"Here, you don't have to ride down there" Manami said, allowing him to go up her arm to her shoulders.

Gin coiled around her neck, still making that pouting sound as he gazed at his former master's grave.

Manami gently patted Gen's head, "Sorry that had to be done, and sorry you were here to witness it" She said softly.

Gin made another pouting noise and looked away, laying down on her shoulder.

Silently, Manami headed back to the beach where she was supposed to meet up with Ian.

Kiki appeared next to the tent, holding a bag. She was looking for Reno, smiling wide.
"Reno! Where are you!? I've got somethign to show you!" Kiki yelled, looking around.
She blinked a few times and walked in the tent in search for a trace of her love.

One of the Manami clones emerged from the sand. "He's dead" She said, smirking.

Kiki spun around, startled.
"Don't do that! I might have hurt you....what do you mean he is dead?" she asled.

The clone laughed at her comment, "I mean that I killed him about half an hour ago. You're standing over his corpse actually. He had quite the nice burial." She smirked.

Kiki twitched and looked down, seeing a ring under the sand. She twitched again and screamed. Her scream was high-pitched.
"you will DIE!" She screamed, drawing her sword and advancing toward the clone.

The clone laughed. It made hand signs "Pheonix flower jutsu!" She yelled and took a deep breath. As it exhaled a plume of flames shot out, aimed right at her.

Kiki held out her hands and a large tree grew infront of her. Spikes shot out at the clone.
"Why did you kill him?! He did nothing!"

The clone dodged, "Are you kidding?! He murdered innocent people, stole information!" She threw kunai knives at her, creating more clones.
"Aside from that, it was a mission, have to bring home the bacon somehow deary" She said.

"He rarely killed and he only stole information to help!" Kiki yelled, allowing herself to get hit by the kunai.
She hit the ground and made vines appear around the clone's ankles.

"Again darling, I'm just going by what I was told, I was hired to murder the murderer. And if you don't stop attacking I'll have to kill you too, at least you'll be burried with him in the end" She smirked.
