Angela sat in the gardens awaiting the arrival of a special guest. One she hadn't seen personaly in over 10 years. She giggled at the thougth of seeing her father's master again. It was always a pleasure seeing the draogness.

"Aren't you a little giddy tonight, Angela?" Xekira asked her mistress chuckling.

"I can't help it, Ki. I want to see her and find out how Thomas is doing." Angela whined a little then started to laugh again. It amazed her how much had changed in the last few years.

Ket looked below them as Flutter started to land in the large night garden.

"Empress!" Angela called out running over to the group. "Wow, I thought it was going to just be you and Chronos. Not a small group." she giggled as she patted Flutter on the head. "So pretty."

Evan jumped down from Flutter's back and walked toward a group of flowers. He sat down, staring.
"What are these?"

"Moon glories." Angela said as she looked at the flowers that Even was looking at. "And the darker blue ones beside them are Night's clove."

"It's good to see you, Angela." Ket said as she was suddenly glomped by the younger queen.

"I'm so glad that you are ok. I was worried when I heard you fell to the spell." Angela said saddly. "But they don't know you are awake. How sad."

"Pretty....what spell?" Evan asked.
His mind was wondering somewhere else....possibly to canada again O.o

"The widow's curse. It's a dragon curse." Ket said as she was released from the overly hyper queen.

"Chronos! You got yourself in a mess agian didn't you?" Angela scolded as she huged the time pervert.

"Yes...I know." He sighed with a chuckle.

"Pretty owl." Angela said disracted by Detran.

"How does a dragon get it?" Evan asked.
He turned around and looked up at Atela with the eyes of a child who was about to be told a marvelous story.

Ket looked down at Evan. "The Widow's curse is placed on only the female dragons if they loose their mates for whatever reason. A dragon mates for life. For a male, they go into a great madness from the loss. It's rare but they can eventualy take another mate if their's has died. A female on the other hand, is placed into a deep slumber. If their mate is still alive, there is a chance they can wake. But if their mate is dead, they usualy die as well. It is very rare that a female dragon wakes if their mate is dead. If they do, they are allowed to take another but it still hurts them to do so. A dragon's first mate is always the most important and speical one to them."

"Why do you think that it?" Evan asked.

"Because I know that my mate is the most important to me. I miss him so much it litteraly hurts not being able to hear his voice or see him. It has for the last 12 years." Ket said wiping a stray tear away.

"I'm sorry. What does it feel like? That pain you said," Evan asked.

"Like some one is tearing my heart in to small pieces. Sometimes I'm short of breath because it hurts physicaly, mentaly and emotionaly. The mental pain isn't too bad but the emotional is the worst. I...." She stopped trying to think of how to explain it. "I cry for no reason it seems or a small memory will trigger a fit of tears. Sometimes I'll go without eating, sleeping or drinking because I just can't bring myself to do it. There are times I just want to lay down and die."

"Ow," Evan mumbled, "How do you get through it all?"

"I was asleep for almost three months." Ket said as she wiped a few tears away. "But I go day by day. Always praying that my daughter will compleat her task so that I can see him again. Praying that I will compleat mine so I may be with him again."

Evan was quiet now. He had many more questions to ask on the subject, but dropped them.

Angela suddenly grabbed Ket's arm. "Come on." She said laughing. Ket was pulled into the back door of the castle. Several minuets later, Angela skipped out of the castle back over to the group. "She needed sleep." She said seriously. "I'm Angela." she said to Even. "Sorry I didnt' introduce myself earlier. You seeemd occupied with the flowers and asking the Empress lots of questions.'

"Its alright. I've just never been here before. Its a pleasure to meet you, Miss. Angela, I'm Evan," He smiled

"It's nice to meet you too, Evan." Angela giggled. "What brings you here anyway? She never said she was brining mroe guests but then again, I should have guessed she would."

"I asked if she could. I've never been on land before and I knew she would come back here so I asked," Evan said.

"Ket's a good dragon. A bit on the odd side. But still good." Angela said nodding.

"As long as you don't piss her off...." Flutter mummbled causing Chaos and Detran to laugh.

Evan smiled.
"So I've heard. So how is ruling a kingdom? Is it fun down here? Do people know you rule it?" He asked.

"Running akingdom is a lot of hard work but it pays off in the end. IT can be bothersome but fun at the same time. People know I run this land but some would rather see me dead." Angela answered quickly.

"What are the wars like down here?" Evan asked.

Angela thought a moment. "It all depends on what the war is about. If it's between races, it's usualy a battle of who has the most people or who is able to kill the other faster. Against countries, it's all who has the most power. Numbers usualy mean nothing in those wars." she wasn't fond of wars herself.

"Huh, what are your opinions on them?" Evan asked.

"I don't care for them. But they are necessary at times. I may help one side or the other depending on it is something that can help my people." Angela said as she moved over to a black marble bench.
