Since Jazz stated my comparison of .hack//G.U. Volume 1 and Final Fantasy XII was too long, I thought I'd cut it up a bit.

Story:
With more plot twists then Pokemon in Pocket Monsters, .hack//G.U. delivers well in an awesome well driven story, plot development and character development.... All in just the first game!

Rating: 9/10

Gameplay:
If I had to put it in one word: Excellent would be that word. Although the battle system does get repetitive rather quickly, you can't help but actually learn to love it as you play more and more. Also since this game's base is in an MMORPG it also feels that way. From adding additions to increase your weapon attack to adding customizations to your weapon such as a sleep, poison, curse or to even increase your critical attacks. This game delivers well when it comes down to it's roots.

Graphics:
The graphics are beautiful. From the Root Towns to the dungeons and fields. The cutscenes and CG scenes are simply beautiful. It fits with the gritty storyline well.

9/10

Sound:
This is where .hack usually shines best. The music and BGM. .hack//G.U. Volume 1 is no different. From the awesome technobeats to character themes and more. The music delivered is top notch.

10/10

Value:
Yes... Yes it is. From the ratings I've given thus far that should be more then apparent. If you loved the previous .hack// gaming series or you're watching .hack//ROOTS(Prequel to G.U.) on Cartoon Network, you definetly wanna get this game. Even if you don't know anything about .hack// and get sick of the same RPGs where you save the world this is also a good choice. .hack//G.U. Volume also delivers well after you've gotten through the main story with alot of side quests and tasks.

10/10

Keep in mind this is only volume 1 of the series. .hack//G.U. is cut into 3 games. So only really plan to get this game if you plan to stick with it.
