Awful and even if it was true, adn he came here he woudl be a HUGE bust. We have no one to get him the puck and no one to get any pressure off of him. he woudl be double teamed at all times and score 25 goals if he was lucky.

Just want to build with youth and never win :ph43r:

Ralston would be a better lng term fit in terms of THE PLAN.

How is that? Rolston is 35 years old and Hossa is 29. Hossa is a much better player as well. Rolston would definitely be better in the room for the young guys, but Hossa is much better out on the ice. With Hossa we could have a 100 point scorer. I don't think there is a chance in hell we get him, but I don't see how he wouldn't fit on this team.

regardless, you have to think realistically. why in the hell would hossa even sniff the idea of coming to the islanders?

its a hard pill to swallow but don't count on hossa coming to the island.

any "mega deal" for ANY 35 year old doesn't make sense period.

I don't think there is a chance that we get him to come here. But, that doesn't mean he isn't a better fit than Rolston.

If you are asking me to compare these two people, that's one thing. But Ralston serves the purpose of teaching the young folks how to play ... Hossa, I think, will go elsewhere, and I think Snow's just kicking the tires so he can say he tried.

Passing on a rumor and sourcing it isn't the same as endorsing it. After all, I've also heard the Wild are trying one more time to get Ralston.

Dr. Generosity - July 1, 2008 05:11 PM (GMT)
Rolston's 35. Hopefully not more than a 2-3 year deal, maximum.

Not too many guys like Rolston who have served as an official team captain four times.

The Wild rotate the captain's "C" (or should I say captaincy?) on a monthly basis. Honest, you can't make this stuff up.

didn't want a new thread for this...
but according to the E man...
former Isle Mark Parrish is on waivers.
guess they're trying to get some cap space since they're probably up near 53m.

You waive your (rotating) captain?

Thank God our roster is set with no room for him.
