According to the New York Post, the Islanders will try to get their hands on Toronto Maple Leafs rearguard Bryan McCabe within the next three weeks.
McCabe has a no-movement clause and his agent, Ian Pulver, recently stated that his client will not waive it, suggesting the Leafs will have to buy out the defenseman's contract if they want to get rid of him.
The Post suggests McCabe is willing to waive his no-movement clause to the Islanders.
The 33-year-old offensive blueliner is set to make $6.15 million next season, at a cap hit of $5.75 million. |
