Title: Marleau to NYI (e3)

bringbackziggy - June 14, 2008 06:08 PM (GMT)
According to Eklund, Marleau to NYI is (e3)

Sol I guess that means he's definitely not coming to the Islanders haha

anyway if Garth were able to get him I would definitely do it because he hasnt played well the past season and a half and his trade value is probably much lower then it should be right now. Maybe, Tambellini, Gervais, and a 2nd rounder might get it done. I think he would benefit from a change of scenery as he hasn't really been performing to his skill level ever since Thonrton go there.

If there was ever the opportunity to get Marleau and the price wasn't too steep, I would make the trade. He's a good player, a good leader. I look at him as a younger Peca or even a Chris Drury...same mold.

aka- don't trade tambs or gervais! our depth chart would go to sh!t if we trade 2 for 1

bingo.

...Malone is gonna be a UFA for absolute sure... he's certainly another one of these (chuckle) "Nolan-type" players. Whoever gets him is going to overpay for sure...so the questions is...should it be us? Should we break the bank on a "character" player who will likely have his points DECLINE this season once Sid & Malky are out of his picture? I say YES :)

4CUPZ - June 18, 2008 02:53 PM (GMT)
I CAN SEE THE ISLES SIGNING MALONE
MOSES..... HE'S IN THE RIGHT JULY 3RD AGE GROUP :P

If you wouldn't trade Gervais and Tambellini for Marleau you are out of your mind.
