Title: Worth buying?
Description: for how much?

#19Trotts - March 3, 2008 09:06 PM (GMT)
I've found this book on a Swedish equivalent of eBay. Starting price is about $5.
Have anyone seen this before? I guess it's worth the money but how far should I go if there are many bidders?

:letssee:

I just browsed around on Amazon and found used versions of it. There they asked for everything between $0.69 up to $16.95

I guess that just answered my question. Sorry for my laziness... :bag:

My first question is...if it was on the Swedish Ebay, is it in English? not that it would matter to you.

Second, what do you think about this???

Yes, it's in English as you can see on the text below the pictures. Stan Fischler and Denis Potvin wrote the book in 1977.

And as for your second question... :yea:

I hear Hillary just got that as a gift from Mike Comrie... after all we're all islanders right?

I have the book and it's a decent read. Denny wrote it so early in his career, though, so it doesn't cover the Islanders' troubles in '77-79 or the Cup years. But a good insight into the young Denis Potvin and his background.

If you get a copy, make sure it comes with the dust jacket.

And no, for whoever asked, it's not in Swedish. :D

Ok, I never bought the book about Denis Potvin since it only covered the pre-cup years. If I get another chance then maybe I'll buy it...

Now, I'm more into buying this book by and about Mike Bossy from 1988. It's also for about $5. Any thoughts? I guess most of you have it or....?! :dontknow:
