Saw the soundtigers play in Albany tonight against the River Rats. They lost 4-3.
Okposo played pretty well. Had an assist. Thing that impressed me was that he's very strong on the puck. There were a number of times that he had the puck and the opposing team could not knock him off. He was on a line with Tambellini and Franz Nielsen. Okposo also had a great play behind the net where he sent a behind the back pass to a player in front but he didn't bury the chance. Can't remember who it was though.
Tambellini looked pretty good, as we all know he's a fast skater. He needs to get stronger though, gets out-muscled too easily. He had 2 assists.
Walter was very impressive. There were a number of times when he took the puck and skated through the entire River Rats team, all the way down the ice. The passing wasn't there all the time, but that will come I'm sure. Better linemates would help I think, the guys he was with didn't do a great job of getting open, so not totally his fault. Also 2 assists for him.
Drew Fata was the best player on the ice for the Soundtigers I would say. Impressed me a lot with his puckhandling. Had a very good phyical presence. Also had a Goal and a fight.
Franz Nielsen had a goal and assist as well.
Way too many penalties in the game. Felt like almost half the game was played with one team or another on the powerplay. It was also a very phyiscal game, lots of hard hits but for the most part pretty clean.
Ted Nolan's kid Brandon had 2 goals and an assist for Albany.
