Title: Sound Tigers
Description: Is there anybody out there?

Looking on the Sound Tigers' roster, there isn't exactly much skill that jumps out and grabs you. Besides Tambellini, who has the best shot to eventually become full-time Islanders! I like some of these players, but the Islanders' minor league offering wouldn't exactly wow too many folks.

I guess after Tambellini, people will look at Comeau and Nielsen as the most potential. Comeau has gotten a lot of praise from Ted Nolan in training camp, and has scoring and physical capabilities apparently. Nielsen plays a strong two-way game, and I was pushing for him to be given a shot to gain a full-time center position before Vasicek was signed. I am wary, though, of overrating our own prospects jsut because they're OUR prospects, and the Isles media machine will make these guys out to be the next Sidney Crosbys.

I guess Jeremy Colliton and Steve Regier have been pretty good in recent years, with BP and short stints on the island. They're big kids with some scoring ability, but not near full-time work yet, I guess. Are these guys anything more than simple "handful of games" substitutes for when, say, Richard Park has to rest his knee or something.

Anyways, would love to hear some thoughts on these guys in Tiger Land.

I heard good things about that Bentvioglio (spelled that wrong i'm sure) kid.

And we can't forget our new "golden boy" Kyle Okposo. I saw him play during rookie camp and the kid can definitely play. I hope he can live up to all the hype :yea:

Andy MacDonald had a breakout year the last 2 years in junior hockey...

He seems to be pretty high on the Isles list.
