Title: 7:30 Weeknight Gametime

Here's your chance to tell the Islanders directly what you think of the weekday game time.

While I'm a little less rushed getting there from Manhattan, I HATE getting home past 11pm everynight there is a weekday game. I might miss pre-game skate but I would trade that to be home 30 minutes earlier.

I agree with Aries too. Coming from the city - it is a little tougher. Although I still leave at 5:00 and pick up my wife at the train station, getting home at 11 blows!

i'll have to take 7:00 start... it doesn't really apply for me but the later game time could only hurt the attendance from a "bringing the kids along" standpoint.
and as mentioned before a later start let's you get in, but at the same time you're also getting home later and depending on the situation you could be losing some sleep for the next day.
otherwise time really doesn't effect me personally (as long as i'm not in class :D )

i don't care either way
but for those with lil kids i'm sure it would keep them home
its tougher as it gets colder...some nights i'd rather be snug as a bug in a rug....

Switching to 7:30 is a great idea and something they should have never abandoned. I have time to get home from work, change, eat then get to the game. With the later start time, it eases traffic a bit as well.

I have a feeling that this is one of the things that is hurting attendance. For a 7PM game, families can come with the kids and be home by 10-10:15. The extra half hour means they're not getting home till 10:30. I feel we're losing families coming to games who have kids that have to wake up at 7 or earlier to catch a bus to school.
That and charging 95 dollars to sit in the 300s is horsebleep.

I like the 7:30 start.
Even working on the Island was tough getting there for 7:00.
And ever notice the stands at the 7:30 start? Not that it's any better nowadays.
And if kids are a reason, the 7:30 start gives the business man time to go home and get them.

Prefer 7:00. Getting home by 10 is great.

Love the 7:30 starts. I get out of work/class around 4 and have plenty of time to get there. I don't mind getting home at 11, I don't sleep much anyways.

I would think it all comes down to if you have kids or not, cause there is nothing worse than having a tired gumpy kid when you are trying to get them ready for school.

Is the weekday 7:30 game time better than the 7:00 time?
=========================================
7 IS BETTER............7:30 IS 2 LATE
