Title: Scott Gordon's Ties
bringbackziggy - October 27, 2009 01:12 AM (GMT)
I've noticed that Scott Gordon tends to wear the opposing teams colors on his tie for most games. Just something my dad and I always comment on that I was curious if anyone else has ever noticed. Is this a superstition (that clearly doesn't work) or is Gordon jsut showing his true colors?

Just stay away from purple.
Everyone thinks Nolan got fired because he hates kids. Nope, he got fired for that stupid f*@!$ing tie!

Nolan's purple tie was the one that everyone was given as part of Hockey Fights Cancer...he just decided to keep wearing it...not the worst thing I could think of...

guess I didn't see the humor...

There is no humor in Cancer.
OlTimeHockey - October 27, 2009 03:18 PM (GMT)
Nolan supported the fight against cancer with his tie, Gorton wore his ties to support the opponent?

If changing ties somehow leads to more wins, Go-go should wear Looney Toons ties. Maybe Roadrunner to help that "overspeed" system.

I like Steve Martin's dead fish tie.
Of course it was a real fish. But very appropriate nonetheless.

I wish we would stop with all the ties. We suck in OT and shootouts.
Ooops, sorry, wrong kinda tie.
Based on what I read about our undying loyalty for one Scott Gordon, perhaps he should simply wear a noose around his neck. Hell, if half the posters here are correct, he's a dead man walking anyway.

What's the matter guys?
You miss my meaningless "Tie Charts"?
I'm not sure that Gordon wears opposing teams colors, or just what goes well with his suit.
He should be wearing a lavendar one tomorrow as it's the Islanders hockey fights cancer night and they've encouraged everyone to wear lavender to show support.
(Also the $2 flashlight keyring is the LEAST everyone can do to be supportive.)
When I'm on vacation I'll start a little chart of Gordon's ties for you guys...
besides... I think his wife will get a big kick out of it.
Oh... and the tie that Nolan wore that got him canned was actually the one that looked like my grandmother's drapes. It was hideous and looked like it came from a thirft store in the 60s.
Scotty is all GQ.
;)

| What about the shoes? |
Teddy's or Scott's?
Gordon is a snazzy dresser from head to toe.
Shooter - October 27, 2009 09:53 PM (GMT)
Would like to see Gordon throw his shoe at the next bad call against us. He can be the Bobby Knight of hockey. LOL
