Title: I just want to see Dipietro, that's all!
Snowday - October 16, 2009 06:59 PM (GMT)
Can he give a 2 minute interview or something? Show his face for the first time in 10 months?
I just want to make sure he's not missing a leg or an arm or something.
puckhead - October 16, 2009 07:05 PM (GMT)
I could care less.............who gives a rats ass.
Mulefan - October 16, 2009 07:07 PM (GMT)
I don't care to see him until he is in between the pipes in a game. Enough talk already!
Snowday - October 16, 2009 07:15 PM (GMT)
I guess Rangers fans were right. DP sucks :bag:
OlTimeHockey - October 16, 2009 07:16 PM (GMT)
He hasn't taken human form yet.....he's still a God amongst mortals. Cameras cannot capture his likeness.
KO21balterman - October 16, 2009 07:16 PM (GMT)
It is ridiculous that he has not released even a statement or something. I don't need specific details as to your injury--just that your alive! Katie strang's DP sightings is the only thing that confirms this
LEDZEP - October 16, 2009 07:19 PM (GMT)
your at your teams home games from time to time..............

HE AND THE ISLANDERS ARE ON NEXT WEEKS SHOWING OF DESTINATION TRUTH

HOPE THEIR CAMERAS CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THE ELUSIVE DIPIETRO
Snowday - October 16, 2009 08:57 PM (GMT)

Rick's around Iceworks. Dee saw him.
We'll see him soon enough.
Webb20 - October 16, 2009 09:11 PM (GMT)
If they ever bring him back out into public it will only be after they are sure he'll play another game for us.

Good. With all the nonsense that's gone on with this situation (from the org, the fans and him) I don't want to see or hear anything about it until he's back on the ice, in uniform and playing.
Otherwise, I dgaf.

No face time for DP. Love him, but face time won't do anything good.
OlTimeHockey - October 17, 2009 08:32 AM (GMT)
And why don't they show Rosie O'Donnell more in porn? I want the same reaction in adult entertainment as I get from Rick's goaltending now and then.

I heard he appears if you stand in front of mirror and say his name 5 times
lynskyn12 - October 17, 2009 07:31 PM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure he is just a fiction of our imagination. I don't think he exists anymore.

I have to say, the topics of these new threads lately are just incredibly pointless. Can we not just start new threads every time a new idea pops into our head? Especially ones as pointless as this. Who cares about DiPietro doing interviews. I don't want to see him again until he's on the ice, in a game.

Agreed. One might get the idea there are no games going on to talk about.

going by their record, there is still plenty of things to talk about rather than rehashing the same :blah: about guys who aren't even on the ice.
Or are games not the point anymore? :dontknow:
I'm not trying to say it is all roses cause it damn sure ain't, but we have two guys under age 21 who look like one can post 30 goals in his sleep as a rookie and the other who can post 65 points in his third nhl season (KO). Those two alone are more young talent than we've had since MM was trading them all away in the 90's.
We'll have to wait and see about DeHaas, but I like what he showed in camp. time will tell.
I can't believe Biron and Rollie will continue to perform below their average as they have so far, but wouldn't that be something to talk about instead of a goalie who hasn't played in 1.5 years and who knows when he will again?
Just seems like people are very quick to hit the "bitching" switch on the same old topics. Now I know why :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse: is available.

7th Woman - October 22, 2009 02:13 PM (GMT)
I saw DiPietro last night in the locker room.
He looked better than I've seen him look in two years.
Thin, fit and walking without an noticable discomfort.
Probably noticing that I was watching him like a hawk, he even smiled at me, said "hi, how you doing?" and walked passed.
If it was an act for the media, it was a good one.
stevedepot - October 22, 2009 02:14 PM (GMT)
So he's off the steroids now, yes?

No, his hair hasn't fallen out yet. When he starts to look like Keith Richards, we oughtta know.

DP was on the Carolina broadcast last night... some footage of him practicing. Looked good, or, at least, looked healthy.

Islanders' goalies
I am told Rick DiPietro is a couple of weeks away from returning; once that happens, and if he stays healthy, the Islanders will move Martin Biron. The team is already getting calls for Biron and it shouldn't be hard to move him. His one-year, $1.4 million deal is easy to digest and he's a darn good goalie. This was the plan all along when Biron signed there in July, that he would be moved at some point if and when DiPietro recovered.

I want to see Rick DiPietro healthy.
Not just "medically cleared to play."
I want to see Rick DiPietro play a few games at Bridgeport and slowly work his way back to NHL action.
I also want to see Rick DiPietro smile after an Islanders win that he started and finished.
That would be a great sign for us. Right now, I'll just wait and see what happens.

He can be moved to Carolina, IMO. Or a number of teams, Atlanta too. Let's hope they grab a d-man.
