Title: 6 YEAR OLD FLIES AWAY
4CUPZ - October 15, 2009 07:11 PM (GMT)
(CNN) -- Officials are trying to rescue a 6-year-old boy who climbed into a balloon-like experimental aircraft built by his parents and floated into the sky over eastern Colorado.
The family describes the structure as a dome-shaped "homemade flying saucer," according to sheriff's office.
The boy's family had been building the experimental aircraft at their home on Fossil Ridge Road in Fort Collins, CNN affiliate KUSA reported.
The family has described the structure as a a dome-shaped "homemade flying saucer," Larimer County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Kathy Davis said.
"We're trying to determine the best course of action," Davis said. "This is a first and we'll do what we need to do."

| "Apparently the boy’s been there the whole time. He’s been hiding in cardboard box in the attic above the garage," Sheriff Jim Alderden said. |
I was close enough.
Is this story funny now that no one got hurt?

His voice could put you to sleep. I was flipping through the channels after school, and noticed it. It had been going on for an hour at that point. Maybe the kid accidently released the balloon, and thought he would get in trouble?

I can't believe this story is getting so much attention. Especially now that the boy was never on the thing.
IslandersWin86 - October 16, 2009 10:57 PM (GMT)
Publicity stunt. The kid said on TV "We did it for the show"
The family was featured on Wife Swap twice and Stormchasers. Just so happens that one of the episodes is airing tonight(?)

The jokes on them.
Disgraceful using your kids like that.
They don't deserve to be parents.
Those poor kids.

A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?" The father answers: "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said: 'You got Male!'" |
