Title: Completely CRAZY Idea About Arena

This may be the dumbest idea out there....but I'll say it anyway.....
Could the Islanders play at MSG? Now, let's just think about that for 2 seconds before we say no way...
- Look at the Jets and how they play in "Giants Stadium" in New Jersey and in my opinion that is completely nuts.
- I think the attendance issues would be moot since MSG can sell out a chess match.
- They would still be in NY and Manhattan (sp?) is an island so the name could stay (of course the logo would need to be changed, but would that happen anyway if we went to Queens?).
- TV revenue still there.
Now, there are major logistics to overcome (getting good nights to play, the place has enough events already, etc).
I'm just throwing this out there.......probably a really bad/horrible/dumb idea but I'll ask anyway....

If/when nassau fails I say an arena in brentwood. Hear that wang? JUST an arena. Not 49393829 hockey rinks, 3829289293489 retail stores, baseball stadiums, and ridiculously expensive housing units in towers that can "see russia from here" that no one could possibly afford that worked there.

I wonder how well it work with all the Rags home games? It's easier to schedule the Giants and Jets because there are only 8 games to worry about, not 41. Also, imagine the Islanders trying to call MSG "home" and Dolan or Rags fan reminding everyone that MSG belongs to them. No thanks.

Think about Graves number up there next to players like Bossy, Nystrom.. players that achieved greatness and a player who had one fantastic season with a team that hadn't smelled a cup in 54 years.... :banana:

well, if their were thoughts about kicking the rags out and we move in..sure I say its a wonderful idea...I have dreams of one day colin campbell getting axed, and rick dipietro taking over fulltime..ricky convinces bettman that the rags would make the nhl better if they moved to new mexico...and then the islanders take over the garden..then rick says that dolan has to be taken over, forced out..and bettman starts getting tired of the nhl and decides to let rick become the commish. then chris simon gets to be the disciplinary...ah, revenge. I can only dream. :yea:
