The Anaheim Ducks have released forward Kyle Calder and defenceman Jassen Cullimore in one of their final cutdowns before the regular season.

Calder is a nine-year NHL veteran who joined the Ducks this month on a tryout deal, while the 36-year-old Cullimore agreed to a similar deal.

Calder has 114 goals and 178 assists in a career spent mostly with Chicago. He played the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, frequently skating on their top two lines.

Cullimore has been in the NHL since the 1994-95 season, spending the past two years with Florida.
