I didnt catch it, i feel it is the obvious choice though, at the same time i feel like we need a captain who is going to stay healthy and be there game in and game out

and what's up with the announcer who keeps forgetting that it's Biron in goal for NYI?

Whoa, a big enormous save by em, er, that goalie whose name I just called 20 seconds ago, oh yeah, Biron....

Not like we're talking about Steve Schmohawk in goal, it's Biron, for Petersborough Pete's sake!

Jimmy14 - September 21, 2009 03:21 AM (GMT)

Not for nothing but de Haan continued to impress. Tavares is the real deal. Great hands/vision but how about Tambellini?

No, not on that bandwagon but it's about damn time ya bastid.

Great work ethic from him. Even if he doesn't make the team (but he will - he has a 1-way contract) at least he's raising some eyebrows with his play. Raised eyebrows equals interest.
We might be able to get a 6th round pick from someone!!

J/K, seriously, way to go Tambellini.

DeHaan has definitely outplayed the rest of the competition for the 6th spot on D. I hope he gets to stick around. That seems to have worked well for Bailey.

Dumb question...Can deHaan play for the Isles this year? I thought there was something about his status in juniors? Or would he be like a Josh Bailey and just be brought up early.

He is in the same boat Bailey was last year. He can play 9 games before he'd have to return to juniors or stay the season. Unless someone gets hurt, he'll go back. He is too small, imo, to be able to hang physically in his own end this year. Hopefully, he gets a lot bigger and cna make the jum next year.

You're comparing a boy to a man. Let the kid grow up a little and he'll put on the weight. Look at the progress Bailey made in one year.

If the kid is playing good, then he deserves to stick around..atleast till the 9 game mark. They are rebuilding with youth, plus he friends with tavares..anything that makes Mr. JT happy, is good for me. :punk:

Give him 9 games, give him the paycheck, give him a little motivation to tear it up in juniors. Bring him up full time next season.
