Ok, I know a lot of people are fuming about Phaneuf's hit on KO (myself being one of them), so I took it upon myself to make this thread. I hope everyone likes it.
I'll start, Phaneuf sucks!

I like Phaneuf, but why did he need to use the back of his shoulder in a neutral zone situation where Okposo was probably no threat to the Flames offensive zone? Good job to Gordon for putting out a "goon" squad tonight. It wasn't a dirty hit (maybe), but it wasn't clean.

We don't have a Dion Phaneuf.
That is the problem. We don't have a threat that teams don't need to be reminded of by the coaches when they check the schedule and see "New York Islanders".
Not saying this player is a "threat" but he's a decent fighter/meathead.
Aaron Downey was cut today by the Yotes and they elected to keep Fritz and send him to
their San Antonio farm team.
Downey has a rep and one of the best left hooks I've ever seen.

Isn't Downey the guy that got suspended a bunch of times in Philly last year by pulling some real cheap hits? Good luck keeping him in uniform on the Island.

I'd have Simon undergo chinese water torture before a game and unleash him at gametime.
