Can someone tell the marketing geniuses that create NY Islanders commercials that there are better places to show NYI (Comeau / Bailey) than on a golf course.

They might think that showing them playing with hockey sticks instead of golf sticks is, you know, ironic, but to any fan with a pulse it's a blatant reminder that the guys have had plenty of tee time since April.

Hey, I have an idea - why not show Hunter and Weight WATCHING an NHL PLAYOFF GAME in a bar?
Weight: "Hey, Hunts, pass me the remote, willya?"
Hunter (mugs for the camera, then passes -- wait for it.... - his hockey stick, which Weight uses to reach up & change to the Golf Channel....


It's not funny. It's not fun.

I thought it was funny the first time I saw it, but by the end of the first period I was tired of it. (after it aired every commercial break)

they filmed it Thursday at the IBC event.
It probably wasn't something that was really thought out.

I didn't need to see it 50 times an hour, but other than that i don't see anything to get ruffled about :dontknow:
