Let's crap the bed again and lock the worst team in the league. No drama, be down 6-0 after two and lose 9-0. Ooops, sorry, that was last night.

Let's Lose Like Winners!

Or Lose Like Weiners!

Or Lose Like Whiners!

Or Wino's, Wahoo's, Wart Hogs, Weebles, Whatever.

It's all good, Tavares to the rescue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

drob4481 - April 8, 2009 09:49 PM (GMT)
Let's knock Crosby out for the playoffs!

What? And kill our chances of upgrading from a 4th rounder to a 3rd rounder?

Knock him out for the final game. Fair?

they don't need need crosby...they got malkin...honestly, if the pens really wanted to..they could trade crosby..Though, I don't know what team has the players to get him..

US!!! Let's trade all the draft picks this year for him plus Okposo and whatever else Pitt wants.

April Fools.......8 days late. :D Or is it?

I look forward to the game. Let's look for 2 strong wins to propel us into what will be an incredibly successful offseason.

Seriously, maybe we can finish strong. Any word on KO?

:isles:

7th Woman - April 9, 2009 05:48 PM (GMT)
Billy and the Penguins need to go far in the playoffs... and we will ride into the draft pool even stronger... woo hoo...

Note to Joel: Play smart damn it! I'm not used to promoting fighters. you're a first. Don't dissapoint me by being foolish with your ice time!

PS: Godard isn't as tough as he looks. ;)

Dee, don't get too attached to Rechlicz, these may be the last 3 games you see him in.

Webb20 - April 9, 2009 07:02 PM (GMT)
How about this quote in today's Newsday....
QUOTE (Bill Guerin)
"Being here has just been a lot of fun. I feel more like myself again and more at ease with everything that's going on. I was disappointed to have to leave the Islanders because I liked it there when I first got there.

Translation....."Everything was great before Gordon got there, now it sucks there and I'm with a real club that plays real hockey".

He feels more like himself again. Doesnt take much reading between the lines, does it?

I know Webby... but at least for now, it gives me something to focus on.

I know the drill.
I was just hoping since I've gotten past the "B" words, maybe Garth would hold onto this one.

but we'll see.

I really think things would have been a lot different had there not been so many games lost to injury. I don't believe Guerin would have felt this way, and I seriously don't think it's Gordon.

Yes, he has a different mind set that Billy. And truthfully (as I sort of knew would happen when he was first brought in) a Scorpio captain isn't always the best candidate. They can be great people, but not always the best to lead. (see alexi Yashin.)

No backlash from you cupz.

Webby remembers what I said in the press conference that day. "Uh oh. A virgo and a scorpio. here we go again." And there we did!

No offense to the former Captain, but he floated around the ice the whole year. The team actually looked like it had more jump when he left. I hope the Pens win a round. Good luck to him in the future.

I didn't read any insult into Guerin's interview. He was the captain for one and some years of a mediocre to poor team that showed small signs of awesome, but not enough of a sustained effort. He contributed to this mediocrity as well, and to some of its awesomeness (spin around goal). It may have been tough on him to be the go-to guy (the Captain) of a team decimated by injuries, and inconsistency. I attribute his feelings to the pressure wearing him out on the Islander. Doug Weight may be more optimistic because he isn't the captain.

I still wish Bill Guerin good luck, and thought he did a decent job on the island.

The loss of Okposo is palpable. The teams looks terrible without him. Even not having Dean McAmmond is apparent in their play. I don't give props to Guerin for netting one against us. By the way, Joey Mac is not playing a good game no matter what NYIFC may write. Just as the defense has left him hanging, it's Joey job to stop the puck d or no d.

Joey does NOT look like he is playing anywhere near his best hockey.

And that's that. I'll be there on Saturday, hopefully a different result.

good game/bad game :dontknow: who cares?

the players just want the damn season over already...I expect them to get blown out for the weekend too..

They don't care anymore....and frankly, who can blame them.
