Wings must be in awe of the dynasty the Isles are building :torrey:

This may be the most meaningless game in the history of the NHL.

Craving_the_Cup_Since_1992 - March 26, 2009 08:48 PM (GMT)
Continuing the losing streak. We want the number 1.

drob4481 - March 26, 2009 09:50 PM (GMT)
In about 93-94 my brother & I took an hour & 1/2 drive to see the Isles Vs. Red Wings...the Colisuem was sold out! We paid $70 each from a scalper and the Wings won 7-1.

what a kick in the ___ that was.

WHAT WAS THE KICK FOR
WATCHING THEM LOSE 7-1
OR PAYING 140 IN '93?

Ziggy16 - March 26, 2009 10:06 PM (GMT)
we seem to always beat detroit in detroit.. i wouldnt call this a freebie for detroit..

3POTI - March 26, 2009 10:16 PM (GMT)
I see the team angry from the wild game, they take it out on the wings, beat them 10-2

LEDZEP - March 26, 2009 10:39 PM (GMT)
Reading the Redwing message board they may not list the game as a
NHL game but as fund raiser charity scrimmage game to help with food in the Detroit area.

Deadmeat - March 27, 2009 01:47 AM (GMT)
At least this game as some meaning for Detroit.

Thats Nice - March 27, 2009 02:01 AM (GMT)

Can we suit up for Ray Ferraro tonight. We may need a repeat of his 4 goal performance back around '92.

DETROIT - After a demoralizing 8-2 loss to the hometown Detroit Red Wings, the New York Islanders spontaneously exploded in an effort to end their misery. The remainder of the Islanders Public Relations department have released this statement:

"After long consideration, since they are no good at playing hockey, The New York Islanders have decided to transform their mass into energy, providing exciting insight into the future of cold fusion."

A team of physicists have been called in for an investigation.

Last I looked, the score is still 0-0.

Just like it was before the last Devils game.

I predict an ass whooping. Anything else would be a shock

You know Zig, you're right.
There aren't any real freebies.

They know this is a meaningless game for them, but they are there to play hockey. They aren't going to make it easy on anyone. Because IF they do...

gordon will make it HARD on them!!!

:D

Let's dress Ray Ferraro for this game! He'll probably get closer to score four goals than any other Islander tonight. :bag:

This is the last team of the 30 (except for the Isles) that KO is yet to face.
