"Isles must be tired, they don't seem to be firing on
all cylinders for this game"

Does Jaffe realize the Islanders have the worst record in hockey
and have not been firing on all cylinders for the entire season. :torrey:

So does Jon Sim and he's not playing here anymore and I doubt that they are worried about another team picking him up on waviers.

I'm starting to get pretty pissed off that the Islanders can not do anything correctly, they have sucked all season long and then when they have been out of it for months they finally start to play good and beat teams that they have no business beating. Its rediculous and once we lose the first pick it will be just another reason for fans of other teams to taunt us as the laughing stock of the league that can't even lose correctly. Pathetic

Well, I'm really happy for Mannino. Gets his first NHL start and his first NHL win!

The kids are making the future seem oh so bright for Isles fans!

Me thinks we could put Led Zep in goal and the Islanders would win. Everything working well now.

well so much for mannino helping us get the worst pick..

we need to stop playing teams that are performing bad right now, its giving us way too much confidence...no way, are we this better than, the hawks..

if we beat the wings, then I'll be convince their is a consiracy out against us.

I agree. If they beat the Wings, then there's something here at work, something beyond our expectations.

And so, after another against all odds like victory,
I and many other fellow Islanders fanatics
make our best V8 commercial type hand slap to the forehead.

I think the Officials would be pretty pissed if Ricky was out there, in the crease, on his folding chair. It's the only way he's seeing the ice any time soon.

Whether it's his competitive nature that has him coming back too soon every time he's injured or he is another Brett Lindros that has a big contract and then is sidelined by a career-ending injury, I'm still not convinced that he'll EVER be back between the pipes for the Islanders. At least, not in the form that made him the fan favorite in his early years with the team.

I have to agree. The Rick may never be between the pipes again.

I agree Webby.

I think the Isles need to take a good look at the goaltending situation this offseason......because long term, the Rickster aint gonna hold up.

Hope I'm wrong but I doubt I am.

if that is the case you have two options, convert him to a 4th line forward/7th dman or you buy him out and eat the contract. Either way it ain't pretty

I agree the situation looks grim, but you have to believe at his age he can at least make an ATTEMPT at a comeback next season. Lord knows he'll have time to rehab all offseason long.
