Today's NY Islander to rate is Left Winger Jon Sim. He came to the Island last year but only this year are we getting to see him play.

he is supposed to be our "pest"? oh please, he's more of a nuisance to us. Along with Comrie, i hope he get's traded.

Based on his skills and effort I've seen, I think Sims would be a terrific 4th line guy and an average 3rd line guy. Anything above that is overshooting.

Give me a year after his knee injury..I think he will be better then this year.

The guy is like tits on a bull. everyone talks about him bein a pest or an agitator. Isn't the role of an agitator is to get people to take penalties and throw them off their game. His offensive skills are horrible, as are his d skills. it sucks cause this team has some people i really don't like on it.
here my list of those select few that i dislike:
jon sim
andy hilbert
thomas pock
doug weight
:disgraced:
anyone you guys care to add?

Hilbert is on too many lists. He works his butt off every night, doing the stuff Namby Pamby Tamby needs to do to stay here. His 3 goals put him on pace for 15+, no doubt he will exceed NPT in that department. Watch his work in our end and on the PP-he is one of our best in these situations.
And Weight is carrying his. If Silly comes back(bigger if every day) he could be considered dead weight(ouch), if not he is our #1 Center. We do need one of those, Comrie doesn't inspire anyone except Hillary Duff.

The more I watch Jon Sim play
the more I'm glad he's an Islander
AND
Not with some other team that we would
have to play because you know he would
LIGHT IT UP THAT NIGHT :score: :score: :score: :score:

I like that Sim is an agitator, but I would like to see more agitating from him. Even if Sim doesn't score, I would like to see more assists from him.
Hilbert won me over this season. His hard work is evident every night and what he brings to the penalty kill is more than some other players bring.
Weight is doing his job well. I like what he brings to games and what he can teach players like Nielsen and NPT.
