Step 1 -
Create a new document and make the size about 100x25
Set the foreground colour to #E8E8E8
Set the background colour to #C5C5C5
Select the gradient tool.
Drag from the top to the bottom.

Step 2 -
Make a new layer.
Press CTRL+A to select the whole canvas.
Grab the Epileptic Marquee Tool. ( The round one.)
Hold Shift and Alt and click and hold from the outside of the top right corner and
drag to the outside of the middle left.

Step 3 -
Chnage the foreground colour to White. Click the gradient tool again.
Make sure you have these settings now.

Click and hold at the middle top and drag the the very middle.
Set that layer opacity to about 90%.

Step 4 -
Add text. Choose a pixel font. I used Photoshop Small. I you don't have any pixel fonts, download some at www.dafont.com/en
Set the font size to 8 px and beside that, change the 'aa' to "none".
Change the foreground colour to #A1A1A1
Write something in the middle.
Now, duplicate that text layer and select the bottom text layer, again.
Change that text layer to white. Select the arrow tool and on your keyboard, press the down arrow once and press the right arrow once.

Now , add a border.
Change your foreground colour to #B9B9B9
Press CTRL+A and go to Edit>Stroke
In the window change the px to 1.
Leave everything else default and click OK.

Play around with it some more if you like.
Here is a button I came up with using the same steps.
