Blending

Difficulty: Easy
Tutorial by: Ice (me)
Program: Photoshop

In this tutorial you will learn how to blend an image into the background of a banner.

First you have to start off and take the picture you want to blend into the background, I used this one of Sub-Zero.

Then grab your lasso tool and set the feather to 20 px. Make a selection around the main part of the image.

Hit Ctrl+I to invert your selection and press delete.

Afterwards, take your image and paste it on to the desired background and set it to luminosity and 10% opacity.

This is an example of what you can make using this technique:

i have a backround, but i cant get an image on the backround to blend it

Because your image needs to be on a seperate layer.

i made another layer, but when i go to open, it jsut makes a whole nother backround for the image

EDIT: screw it, i quit, im too retarded to get ANY of this

That may be because the image is bigger than your background image. Edit > Free Transform.

Hold Shift and drag any of the corners inwards until it's where you want it.
