Description: A bunch of random questions lol

The venox is doing great my wife and I went out and road for about a hour and 1/2 tonight around town. We also bought some new jackets today mesh ones with armor. Now I feel even safer. I got a few random questions

As we all know motorcyclist wave to each other with there hands down to the side. Why is this the national way to greet people on the roads?

whats a great way to get into the local motorcycle community to meet more bikers around the area?

Also it seems like going from 40-60 is kinda slow on my bike what can I do to increase the pick up?

Also what are the benefits of having a windshield? and how much are they for my bike?

Are different shields good to get on a motorcycle? or are clear the best?

Thanks,
Slim

:old: There is one thing that you can do that is worth its
weight in gold. KYMCOBIZ.com sell a 43 tooth sprocket and that
is like getting a extra load of horse power. The Venox has a true over
drive for fifth gear it is like .946 to 1 puting the kit on makes it pull if 5th gear. And
it makes it more pleasant going down the highway because it is more managbale
you do not have to stay right on the throttle. And riding two up is even better. Mileage drops a little. My son and i are over 300 lb. and I still get 59 to 62 mpg depending on the wind and how much around town . Oh and the wave I have always done it as long as it was safe, I also nod. To get into the bike community just show up if they do not want you go to another. If the Venox is not well known in that area you will get lots of attention.

My impression is it was originally a HD wave...could be the left hand was already down trying to keep them going... :hahaha:

As pops says... find an event and just show up...
also stop and ''admire'' others bikes will always start up a conversation but be prepared to also answer questions...WTF about your bike.

As pops says #1 way is to get the rear sprocket from KYMCO.biz
Second way is to get a aerodynamic windshield (NOT a straight up ''tombstone'' HD type shield like the one Kymco offers)

BENEFITS:
Less wind resistance with the right aerodynamic shield.
Improved gas milage IF the right shield.
Less rider stress = longer enjoyable rides

PRICE:
You can spend from $100 to $500+ depending on the style and quality you choose.

clear, colored or smoke your choice but you MUST be able to see over the top and not be looking through the shield or it will be like driving a car with no windshield wipers.

Pops and I ended up with a great windshield system but its not cheap.
We got the Memphis Shade Bladerunner with the added adjustable top wing from Saeng.

Others here have other styles from Memphis Shades too.

The thing you have to be careful of is if you get a four point mounting system from anyone the fork mounts do not have much space to attach to with the venoxes headlight attaching there too..

For more info check other topics here on these boards and on the STUFF FOR RIDERS Windshields forum.

I will also agree with everything above. Check the dealers web site. Some of them put on bike nights, rides, and other events. They will normally have a calender of events on their web page. Also you can try yahoo, and the like and see if there are any groups in your area. Also just look for riding groups on the internet. If all else fails stop a fellow rider along the way and ask them. In my area the harley group is the biggest. They have always welcomed me on their rides and events. So its not been to hard for me.

The online MeetUp communities are great for locating people w/your interests. They're especially popular and more prevalent in large cities. I found several motorcycle groups & we've ridden them & I've made a couple of good friends. Here's the motorcycle link, maybe there are some near you. And yeah, just go by any of the dealers near you. One of the Honda dealers near here sponsors a very active riding club & all makes are welcome - including Hyos! :hyosungcool:
