Hi GV 250 riders,

what is the service interval of your bikes ?

I wanted to bring mine for the 2nd service @ 4000 km but they sent me home and told me that the service interval is 6000 km and not 4000.

Is this new ?

I agree with the other guys, my owners manual says 4000km...8000km etc.

Did they give an explanation as to why it's every 6000km.

In saying that, other bike owners I know with non-Hyo have said their services are every 8000km.

maybe they are confused with the Hyo 650 - its service interval is 6000km :Runcircle:

I was tolds by DA's that the first would be at 1000 km. the second at 5000 km, and every 5000 km there after.
With 4965 kms on my clock, she's just about due to go in, and the bike almost feels like it's ready for a service.
I'll stick with every 5000 kms.

Hi again,

my dealer ( Stafford in Heidelberg ) insists on the 6000 km schedule. He told me again that there is a new service handbook for the GV 250 with 6000 km and they did not change anything on the bike. Therefore he only services them every 6000. Hope this does not affect the warranty.

interesting, my GT250 will be due its 1000km service next week, I'll ask my dealer and see what they say. Good if its right, an extra 2000km between services is very worthwhile having :okthumb:
